Tiempos felices: Transformaciones en las tecnologías psicológicas de gobierno de la subjetividad

2020

This paper traces some inflections in the psy disciplines? discourses and technologies for the government of subjectivity during the last decades. It is focused on exploring different mechanisms through which psychological disciplines ?their discourses, techniques and practices? penetrate social life and contribute to establishing subject models consistent with transformations in the political and economic rationalities of late capitalism. Drawing on previous research in the field of gender politics and happiness discourses in the pop psychological culture, I track a line with three moments: i) the production of psychological individuality and identity normalization; ii) the proliferation o…

MAIFINITO

2014

Performing arts and mediation technology in the period of lockdown

2021

Advancements in digital technologies have become novel ways to enrich communication, expression, and transmission of arts knowledge. Technology is increasingly implemented in the performance space, as a source of inspiration for artists. Especially in this period of lockdown, mediation technology has turned out to be an essential tool for different aspects of social life, as in performing arts. With venues, schools and artistic activities closed, performers, students and spectators have been obliged to keep connecting in remote conditions. This article wants to retrace the aesthetic impact of mediation technology in performing arts during this period of lockdown by focusing on the aspects t…

The goal is to illustrate the potentialities as well as the challenges of the arttechnology encounter by underlining the transformation of the interaction with and perception of the performance space in remote conditions and in distance learning. The implementation of digital technologies is contributing to the evolution of the performing arts sector by facilitating futuristic approaches. 402 412mediation technology has turned out to be an essential tool for different aspects of social lifeas in performing arts. De la performance musicale dans la Guyane traditionnelle : expression cognitive singulière d?une musique-verbe

2021

Guianese culture and traditional music, here evoked, are various. It is more a transcultural process that, along centuries, gave an original result born in the Americas, in Guiana in this case. It is a form of refoundation, of recreation of cultures and new human beings generally called Creoles. The musical performance, that I study here, is the echo of social and cultural space of this reformulation of thought, life, and conception of the world. It is, as well, a mean of transposition and transformation of the values issued of diverse sources and categories. It is in no way a second-rate cultural practice, as it is the place where were born philosophies and actions for common life as well …

as it is the place where were born philosophies and actions for common life as well as for individual life. This organization of the musical experience requires several levels of readings to better understand the underlying performance that is the issue discussed here. What is then the subject of the musical performance in French Guianese traditional society? What are the implementation techniques and the intrinsic forms of knowledge? What is the creation process and for what goal? Without a doubtlifeUNESCO::CIENCIAS DE LAS ARTES Y LAS LETRASand conception of the world. Antecedents of Market Orientation in The Banking Sector During Its Digital Transformation

2019

Firms are under increasing pressure to remain relevant for their customers and need to rethink how to remain market-oriented in the digital age. This is evident in the banking sector where the traditional banks are gradually being challenged by digital native competitors and growing customer demands. Consequently, this study examines what it takes to be market oriented in the banking sector at the age of increasing digitalization. Specifically, we focus on developing the theory on the antecedents of MO and examine how banks can regain market orientation under changing market conditions. Although Market Orientation (MO) has been a widely studied concept that has been applied in numerous diff…

Energy conversion efficiency in betavoltaic cells based on the diamond Schottky diode with a thin drift layer

2020

The HPHT diamond Schottky diode was assembled as a Metal/Intrinsic/p-doped structure betavoltaic cell (BC) with a very thin (1 μm) drift layer and tested under 5–30 keV electron beam irradiation using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The effect of the β-radiation energy and the backscattering of electrons on the energy conversion was studied. From the results obtained, it is shown that, the efficiency of the investigated BC increases from 1.01 to 3.75% with the decrease of β-particle energy from 30 to 5 keV due to an increase of the electron beam absorption in a thin drift layer. Maximum efficiency is achieved when the electron beam energy is close to the average β-decay energy of 3H. …

Processing of metals and metalloids by actinobacteria: Cell resistance mechanisms and synthesis of metal(loid)-based nanostructures

2020

Metal(loid)s have a dual biological role as micronutrients and stress agents. A few geochemical and natural processes can cause their release in the environment, although most metal-contaminated sites derive from anthropogenic activities. Actinobacteria include high GC bacteria that inhabit a wide range of terrestrial and aquatic ecological niches, where they play essential roles in recycling or transforming organic and inorganic substances. The metal(loid) tolerance and/or resistance of several members of this phylum rely on mechanisms such as biosorption and extracellular sequestration by siderophores and extracellular polymeric substances (EPS), bioaccumulation, biotransformation, and me…

Utilizing genetically engineered bacteria to produce plant-specific glucosides

2001

Plant-derived glucosides have attracted much attention due to their widespread applications. This class of products is difficult to isolate or to synthesize in pure form because of the resulting low yields. Thus, simple approaches for the generation of such glucosides would be highly beneficial. We purified and characterized a novel glucosyltransferase from plant cell suspension cultures of Rauvolfia serpentina, which showed rather low substrate specificity. We obtained its cDNA and expressed the active recombinant protein in bacteria (Escherichia coli) with excellent plant-specific glucosylation efficiencies. Compared with the plant system, the bacteria delivered the new enzyme, which was …

An in vitro tool to assess cytochrome P450 drug biotransformation-dependent cytotoxicity in engineered HepG2 cells generated by using adenoviral vect…

2011

Many adverse drug reactions leading to hepatotoxicity are caused by the cytochrome P450-dependent activation of non-toxic drugs or chemicals into reactive metabolites. To this end, adenoviruses were used as a tool to efficiently deliver specific CYP genes into cultured cells (i.e., human hepatoma cell line HepG2). Recombinant-defective adenoviral vectors encoding for genes CYP3A4 (Adv-CYP3A4), CYP2E1 (Adv-CYP2E1), CYP2A6 (Adv-CYP2A6) and CYP1A2 (Adv-CYP1A2) were used to confer specific CYP drug metabolic capabilities to HepG2 cells. Upgraded cells transiently expressed single specific cytochrome P450 enzymatic activities in terms of the number of the infecting virus particles used in their …
