This paper presents a comparison of three post-weld treatments for fatigue life improvement of welded joints. The objective is to determine the most suitable post-weld treatment for implementation in mass production of certain crane components manufactured from very high-strength steel. The processes investigated are: burr grinding, TIG dressing and ultrasonic impact treatment. The focus of this investigation is on the so-called medium cycle area, i.e. 10 000-500 000 cycles and very high stress ranges. Video games as a consumer product have changed significantly with the advent of in-game purchasing systems (e.g., microtransactions, ‘loot boxes’). This review examines consumer protections related to in-game purchasing by anticipating some of the potential design strategies that might contribute to higher risk consumer behavior. Attention was directed towards the analysis of patents for potential in-game purchasing systems, with 13 identified on Google Patents. The design features were analysed in relation to the consumer rights and guarantees described in the terms of use agreements of the patent assignees. A glassblock integrated with hybrid photovoltaic cells (also known as Dye-sensitized Solar Cell - DSC) and a dry-assembled panel made of traditional or DSC-integrated glassblocks are disclosed. The combination of the glassblock and the DSC module, allows the improvement of the glassblock performance in terms of energy saving and production. The final complete product owns the qualities of both the components (glassblock and DSC module) that are optimized to produce clean energy. This paper presents an analysis of the intervention dose-effect of the Parent Child Psychological Support Program© (Cerezo 1990) a program aimed at promoting protective adaptive system in children which is offered to all new-borns in a given catchment area. The program offers support to parents during the first 18 months of the baby's life. The program dose-effect is examined regarding the parents by examining the level of distress reported by them and with babies by examining the development of attachment using the Strange Situation test of Ainsworth et al. Analizējot dažādu pētnieku atziņas par vecāku stresu un priekšstatiem par bērnu audzināšanas pieejām, tika konstatēti faktori, kas ir saistīti ar vecāku stresu. Empīriskie pierādījumi atspoguļo saikni starp partneru izraisītu stresu un disfunkcionālu vecāku lomas izpildi. Šī maģistra darba mērķis bija izpētīt savstarpējas saistības starp priekšstatu par tēvu, stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģijam un depresijas simptomiem pusaudžiem; izpētīt, kādā mērā priekšstats par tēvu un stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģijas prognozē pusaudžu depresijas simptomus. Pētījumā piedalījās 200 pusaudži vecumā no 14 līdz 18 gadiem (M=16,0; SD = 1,21), no kuriem bija 56 zēni un 144 meitenes.
