Accessibilità e uso sostenibile del patrimonio architettonico. Superuser e baukultur per un rinnovamento metodologico
2021
Risorse culturali, ambientali e turismo sostenibile
2019
Sustainability tourism requires the ability to integrate the natural, cultural and human environment, respecting the fragile balance that characterizes the territories, in order to ensure an appropriate evolution as regards the capacity to mitigate the anthropic impact, and that it knows assess their effects on cul…
2019
This article presents the Council of Europe’s educational policy, indicating its major milestones and characteristics when it comes to issues of cultural heritage. First it offers an analysis of the strategic documents (i.e. recommendation No. R (98) 5 of the committee of ministers to member states concerning heritage education and conventions, with emphasis on the Council of Europe Framework Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society (Faro Convention). The notion of a common European Cultural Heritage as a shared and non-‐renewable resource is presented in the human rights approach to cultural heritage. The article pays special attention to intercultural dialogue and how it …
2013
This paper describes the general procedure followed to build a system of indicators for monitoring and evaluating the Strategy for Culture and Development of Spanish Cooperation. Taking the Sustainable Management of Cultural Heritage as a reference, in this study an approach is made to questions relative to: 1) the process of evaluating a list of indicators by a panel of experts using the Delphi technique, 2) the definition and calculation of a relative operational index, 3) the process of indicator selection, and lastly, 4) how the selected indicators were assigned to form part of the basic or strategic dimension on which the system is structured. En este trabajo se describe el procedimie…

Genome-wide analysis of the repertoire of TRIM genes in sea urchins
2012
The eukaryotic TRIM (TRIpartite Motif) super-family represents one of the largest classes of putative E3 ubiquitin ligases involved in several processes, including epigenetic control of development and disease. In the post-genomic era, new approaches allow genome-wide studies of gene family. In particular, we performed a comprehensive analysis of the TRIM repertoire in selected sea urchin species. By combining iterations of ab initio predictions and pairwise comparative methods, we first retrieved the full complement of TRIM genes in Strongylocentrotus purpuratus, whose full genome sequence was available. Interestingly, such a DNA sequence set includes not previously classified, echinoderm-…
The Mitochondrial Targeting Chaperone 14-3-3ε Regulates a RIG-I Translocon that Mediates Membrane Association and Innate Antiviral Immunity
2012
SummaryRIG-I is a cytosolic pathogen recognition receptor that initiates immune responses against RNA viruses. Upon viral RNA recognition, antiviral signaling requires RIG-I redistribution from the cytosol to membranes where it binds the adaptor protein, MAVS. Here we identify the mitochondrial targeting chaperone protein, 14-3-3ε, as a RIG-I-binding partner and essential component of a translocation complex or “translocon” containing RIG-I, 14-3-3ε, and the TRIM25 ubiquitin ligase. The RIG-I translocon directs RIG-I redistribution from the cytosol to membranes where it mediates MAVS-dependent innate immune signaling during acute RNA virus infection. 14-3-3ε is essential for the stable inte…
