Parental Trust in Teachers and Children’s Interest in Reading and Math: A Longitudinal Study
2021
This study investigated cross-lagged associations between parental trust in a child’s teacher and children’s academic interest across Grades 1–4 in primary school. Parents rated trust in their child’s teacher, and 576 children reported their interest in reading and math at each grade. The results showed that high parental trust in a child’s teacher predicted the child’s high interest in math. In addition, the child’s high interest in reading in Grade 2 was related to the father’s subsequent trust in the teacher. peerReviewed

Att., 15.27.3; I. 2.10.1) about the treatment of genera testamentorum recognized by ius civile (testaments called calatis comitiis, in procinctu and per aes et libram of classical period). Furthe…

Tiger nut powder as ingredient for obtaining gluten free foods based on noodle processing and extrusion technology
2021
Tiger nut (Cyperus esculentus L.) is a sweet tuber mostly cultivated in Eastern Spain (Valencia) and in west Africa. Its nutritional profile stands out for the high fiber and unsaturated fat content; moreover, the moderate protein amount might make it suitable for the nutritional enrichment of gluten free foods. The objective of this thesis was to extend the applications of tiger nut as gluten free (GF) ingredient in noodles making and snacks. The study of marketed GF pasta revealed the nutritional inadequacy and lower cooking performances compared with their gluten containing homologous. The quantification of furosine content was handy for a better understanding of the heat damage caused d…

El carácter transdiagnóstico de las intrusiones mentales/ Transdiagnostic nature of unwanted mental intrusions
2019
Unwanted mental intrusions (UMIs) and their functional consequences had been proposed as symptom dimensions in current cognitive models of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), Illness Anxiety/Hypochondriasis (IA/H) and Eating Disorders (EDs). The main purpose of this doctoral dissertation was to ascertain the transdiagnostic nature of UMIs, above and beyond their specific contents, i.e., obsessional, appearance defects, illness and death, and eating disorders-related. To this end, the Questionnaire of Unpleasant Intrusive Thoughts (QUIT) was designed, and, based on it, four studies were conducted. Studies 1 and 2 examined the transdiagnostic nature of UMIs, b…
