Pohjoismaiseen lasten- ja nuortenkirjallisuuteen on rakentunut lähes normatiivinen kuva vallitsevaa sukupuolijärjestystä murtavasta vahvasta tyttöydestä, joka on näkyvissä myös suomalaisessa 2010-luvun nykytyttökirjallisuudessa. Vuosituhannen vaihteen jälkeen kirjallisuuden tyttökuvat ovat kuitenkin moninaistuneet, eikä tyttöhahmojen tarvitse olla enää kaikkivoipaisia. Tyttöyden esitysten moninaistumisen myötä aiemmin liki säännönmukaisesti heteronormatiivisten tyttökirjojen päähen-kilöiksi on noussut myös heteronormeja vastustavia tyttöhahmoja. Tarkastelen maisterintutkielmassani lähiluvun keinoin kahdessa kotimaisessa nuorten fantasiatyttöromaanissa, Siiri Enorannan teoksessa Surunhauras, lasinterävä (2015) sekä Maria Turtschaninoffin teoksessa Anaché: Myter från akkade (2012), esiintyviä heteronormista poikkeavan tyttöyden representaatioita. Erityisesti huomioni kiinnittyy pohjoismaiseen lasten- ja nuortenkirjallisuuteen rakentuneeseen vahvan tyttöyden perinteeseen (mm. Darba mērķis ir izmeklēt un aplūkot Pētera Handkes jutekliskās uztveres atspoguļojumu stāstā Senviktuāra kalna mācība. Darba uzdevums ir izpētīt rakstnieka Pētera Handkes personību un viņa slaveno tetraloģiju, it īpaši tetraloģijas otro daļu. Darbs ir sadalīts trijās nodaļās. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek apskatīts un visparēji raksturots jēdziens „mūsdienu literatūra”, kā arī tiek apskatīta tā laika politiskā un sabiedriskā situācija Vācijā un Austrijā. Varieties of agencies during working life changes

The aim of this study is to shed light on the varieties of workers´ agencies in working life change situations, which is an under-researched topic in the literature of workplace learning and in working life studies. The research questions are what kinds of agencies there are to be found when workers encounter changes and how the different kinds of agencies are connected together. The understanding of agency is grounded on the subject-centered socio-cultural approach, whereas the methodological approach is based on applying life-course perspective on research material consisting of 48 working life narratives written by Finnish adults. A cross-country study of skills and unemployment flows

AbstractUsing an international survey that directly assesses the cognitive skills of the adult population, I study the relation between skills and unemployment flows across 37 countries. Depending on the specifically assessed domain, I document that skills have an unconditional correlation with the log-risk-ratio of exiting to entering unemployment of 0.65–0.68 across the advanced and skill-abundant countries in the sample. The relation is remarkably robust and it is unlikely to be due to reverse causality. Volatility transmission patterns and terrorist attacks

The objective of this study is to analyze volatility transmission between the US and Eurozone stock markets considering the effects of the September 11, March 11 and July 7 financial crises. In order to do this, we use a multivariate GARCH model and take into account the asymmetric volatility phenomenon, the non-synchronous trading problem and the crises themselves. Moreover, a graphical analysis of the Asymmetric Volatility Impulse-Response Functions (AVIRF) is introduced, which takes into consideration the crisis effect. Debating Europe: Effects of the “Eurovision Debate” on EU Attitudes of Young German Voters and the Moderating Role Played by Political Involvement

In the run-up to the elections to the European Parliament in 2014, EU citizens had the unprecedented opportunity to watch televised debates between the candidates running for president of the European Commission. The most important debate was the so-called "Eurovision debate", which was broadcasted in almost all EU member states. In this study we explore the responses of a sample of 110 young German voters, who watched this debate, to the candidates' messages and whether exposure to the debate caused a shift in the respondents' attitudes towards the EU.
