A randomized controlled trial of unguided internet cognitive-behavioral treatment for perfectionism in individuals who engage in regular exercise

Objective Clinical perfectionism has been found to be a risk and maintaining factor in eating disorders (EDs), compulsive exercise, and athlete burnout. This study investigated whether an unguided internet cognitive–behavioral treatment (ICBT) for perfectionism would reduce ED pathology, compulsive exercise, and burnout in individuals who engage in regular exercise. This article discusses an experiment which we are conducting in the field of Finnish as a second language. We are developing an Internet-based program that learners of Finnish can use to assess their own writing skills. The program code originally comes from the DIALANG project, which is developing a diagnostic language assessment system for 14 languages for the Internet. We selected two new writing tasks for the program, and constructed related sets of benchmark performances to enable the learners to assess their own abilities. Tarkastelemme tässä artikkelissa, mitä oppilaat, opettajat ja opettajaopiskelijat raportoivat oppineensa yhdessä toteuttamassaan monialaisessa oppimiskokonaisuudessa, johon osallistuivat erään yhtenäiskoulun kaikki 5.–8. luokan oppilaat. Oppimiskokonaisuuden aihe oli terve elämä ja sitä opiskeltiin viikon ajan ikäsekoitteisissa ryhmissä tutkivan oppimisen keinoin ja monilukutaitoa harjaannuttaen. Tutkimusaineisto koostuu 250 oppilaan, 25 opettajan ja 23 opettajaopiskelijan laadullisista itsearvioinneista, ja se analysoitiin laadullisen aineistolähtöisen teoriaohjaavan sisällönanalyysin keinoin. Assessment is viewed as an internal and pivotal part of learning, where cultural factors, previous experiences, and future aspirations affect learners’ perceptions. In recent years, an increasing number of western universities have established their campuses or “dual” programmes in China. In the first Sino–Finnish programme, 293 Finnish and Chinese students participated in the same English for Specific Purposes (ESP) course. The present special issue includes single and multiple case studies which report on the phenomenon of ‘paradoxical’ outcomes in psychotherapy, operationalized as discordant outcome assessments within the same case. In an attempt to find ground for my published response, I endeavored to juxtaposition the cases from the different studies, and by doing that gain an overview of the contributions and arguments. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää alakoulun 5.–6.-luokkalaisten oppilaiden sosiaalisia taitoja ja kiusaamista koulun ja liikuntaharrastuksen ympäristöissä. Mittasimme oppilaiden koulun ja liikuntaharrastuksen sosiaaliset taidot empatia-, yhteistyö- ja itsesäätelytaitojen osa-alueissa, jotka muodostettiin faktorianalyysillä Greshamin ja Elliottin SSRS-C –itsearviointilomakkeen pohjalta. Koehenkilöiksi valitsimme alakoulun viidennen ja kuudennen luokan oppilaita, joilla oli vähintään yksi liikuntaharrastus. Aineisto kerättiin Pohjois-Savossa ja Varsinais- Suomessa. Aims: The aim of this study is to fill a gap in research on students' experiences of learning in student-centered assessment feedback practices. The article examines what students tell us about their learning in the context of student-centered feedback practices in higher education during online learning.

Itsearviointi on merkittävä osa kieltenoppimista, sillä sen avulla oppilaat voivat muun muassa huomata vahvuutensa ja heikkoutensa, kehittää itseään tarvittavilla osa-alueilla, sekä asettaa itselleen realistisia opiskelutavoitteita. Tämän tutkimuksen kohteina oli oppilaiden sekä heidän opettajiensa itsearvioinnin tuntemus ja käyttö. Tutkimus koostui kahdesta yhdeksäsluokkalaisten ryhmästä ja kahdesta abiturienttiryhmästä.
