The paper analyzes with criticism the riks, challenges and doubts that may arise as a result of the implementation of the DAC6 directive, relating to the obligation of tax intermediaries to disclose information on certain tax schemes to the tax administration at the moment of assistance and implementation of the scheme. It reveals the inconsistencies and the potential break of some fundamental freedoms of taxpayers and intermediaries and suggests mechanisms, tips and tools to improve it.

The effects of offering and seizing optional learning opportunities rarely have been investigated. Thus, university instructors have no basis on which to decide whether offering optional learning opportunities to their students would be worth the effort and which students would seize and benefit from them. To target these questions, we designed a teaching−learning format in which we offered psychology undergraduates optional learning opportunities throughout the semester. We investigated the cognitive and motivational prerequisites of N=108 students who seized versus forwent the learning opportunities and compared their learning outcomes both with and without controlling for prerequisites.…
Video surveillance and security policy in France: From regulation to widespread acceptance

This article presents a historical account of the introduction and use of video surveillance cameras in France. Specific reference is made of the introduction of regulatory and legislative arrangements and to political debates surrounding the provision of video surveillance cameras. A feature of the French context has been a desire by national government to install cameras more widely in public places and a resistance to do so by local regions (departments). This highlights a traditional tension between central and local government in France and the significance of political rhetoric to the ongoing installation and operation of video surveillance cameras.

This can be useful in cases where less sensitive network monitoring is outsourced to a third party and more sensitive network monitoring operations and data forensics are performed in-house or by law enforcement agencies.
Weak kaon production off the nucleon and Watson's theorem

We have improved the tree-level model of Ref arXiv:1004.5484 [hep-ph] for weak production of kaons off nucleons by partially restoring unitarity. This is achieved by imposing Watson's theorem to the dominant vector and axial-vector contributions in appropriate angular momentum and isospin quantum number sectors. The observable consequences of this procedure are investigated.
