This article concerns the therapeutic potential of metaphor in group poetry therapy, concentrating on the poetry therapy process of people diagnosed with schizophrenia. The data was collected in a one-year poetry therapy group. The main questions were: (1) What kind of therapeutic potential can metaphors offer in group poetry therapy? (2) What are the personal meanings and evaluations that the participants give to the therapy process and its effects on their lives? (3) What are the most significant elements in poetry therapy from the viewpoint of the client? The analysis was based on the Grounded theory method. Goalkeeper: A Zero-Sum Exergame for Motivating Physical Activity

Incentives and peer competition have so far been employed independently for increasing physical activity. In this paper, we introduce Goalkeeper, a mobile application that utilizes deposit contracts for motivating physical activity in group settings. Goalkeeper enables one to set up a physical exercise challenge with a group of peers that deposit a fixed amount of money for participating. If a peer fails to complete the challenge, Goalkeeper redistributes their deposit to those who managed to complete it (i.e., zero-sum game). In this paper we empirically explore a highly distributed onshore development project with a complex coordination structure. Spectral approach to the scattering map for the semi-classical defocusing Davey–Stewartson II equation

International audience; The inverse scattering approach for the defocusing Davey–Stewartson II equation is given by a system of D-bar equations. We present a numerical approach to semi-classical D-bar problems for real analytic rapidly decreasing potentials. We treat the D-bar problem as a complex linear second order integral equation which is solved with discrete Fourier transforms complemented by a regularization of the singular parts by explicit analytic computation. The resulting algebraic equation is solved either by fixed point iterations or GMRES. Several examples for small values of the semi-classical parameter in the system are discussed.

Patterns found in digital trace data are increasingly used as evidence of social phenomena. Still, the role of digital services not as mirrors but instead as mediators of social reality has been neglected. We identify characteristics of this mediation process by analyzing Twitter messages referring to politics during the campaign for the German federal election 2013 and comparing the thus emerging image of political reality with established measurements of political reality. Doppler Power Characteristics Obtained from Calibrated Channel State Information for Human Activity Recognition

This paper demonstrates the time-variant (TV) Doppler power characteristics of human activities using measured channel state information (CSI). We model the measured CSI as a complex channel transfer function corresponding to a 3D non-stationary multipath fading channel consisting of a fixed transmitter, a fixed receiver, fixed scatterers representing fixed objects, and a cluster of moving scatterers representing a moving person performing some human activities.
