Nurse practice – clinical learning environment and student satisfaction
 The purpose of this study was to investigate nursing students’ satisfaction with the clinical learning environment during clinical practice. A questionnaire was distributed to nursing students at a university (N=250) in Norway. Student satisfaction, task orientation, pedagogical atmosphere, supervisory relationship, and the premises of nursing on the ward were measured. Of the 250 students invited, 163 (66 %) completed the survey. De l’État de droit libéral à l’État de droit social. Critique et transformation de l’État de droit chez Hermann Heller

This article analyzes the genesis and meaning of the concept of a “social rule of law” (sozialer Rechtsstaat) which Heller put forward in the particular context of The Weimar Republic. Heller was at this time one of the jurists who criticized the liberal ideal of law. He instead promoted a social conception that would take socio-economic inequalities into consideration. However, this did not imply eliminating the rule of law; it was rather a question of extending it or elevating it to a higher point – which he called “social democracy” and from 1929, “social rule of law”. In the context of the crisis of democracy, this kind of statement clearly had a political dimension.

Highlights • We characterise Sas3p and Gcn5p active HAT complexes in WT and deleted TAP-strains. • We confirm that Pdp3p interacts with NuA3, histones and chromatin regulators. • Pdp3p MS-analysis reveals its phosphorylation, ubiquitination and methylation. • Sas3p can substitute Gcn5p in acetylation of histone H3K14 but not of H3K9. • Genome-wide profiling of Sas3p supports its involvement in transcriptional elongation.

Returns To Education During And After The Economic Crisis: Evidence From Latvia 2006–2012

We employ EU-SILC micro data for Latvia to study how returns to education changed during the economic crisis of 2008–2009 and afterwards. We found that returns to education increased significantly during the crisis and decreased slightly during the subsequent economic recovery. The counter-cyclical effect was evident in nearly all population groups. After the crisis, education became more associated than before with a longer working week and a higher employment probability. Equal access to the top? Measuring selection into finnish academia

In this article, we draw a parallel between equality of opportunity in educational transitions and equality of opportunity in academic careers. In both cases, many methodological problems can be ameliorated by the use of longitudinal rather than cross-sectional data. We illustrate this point by using Finnish full-population register data to follow the educational and academic careers of the 1964–1966 birth cohorts from birth to the present day. We show how the Finnish professoriate is highly selected both in terms of parental background and in terms of gender. Tämä tutkielma käsittelee eri tiedekuntien opiskelijoiden ruotsin ja englannin kielen käyttöä opiskeluaikaisessa työelämässä sekä opiskelijoiden käsityksiä tulevaisuuden työelämän kielitai-totarpeista ja kielitaitovaatimuksista eri aloilla. Tutkimusmenetelmä on deskriptiivinen ja enimmäkseen kvalitatiivinen. Tutkimusaineisto ke-rättiin sähköisen kyselylomakkeen avulla keväällä 2012. Lomake lähetettiin kolmen eri tiede-kunnan opiskelijoille sähköpostilistojen kautta ja kyselyyn vastasi yhteensä 225 opiskelijaa.
