Durante l'undicesima edizione del Festivaletteratura di Mantova, nel settembre 2007, Wole Soyinka, insieme alla studiosa e traduttrice Alessandra Di Maio, ha ripercorso la sua carriera poetica, spiegandone svolte e sviluppi. In questa sede si riportano due delle sue poesie più note in traduzione -- "Conversazione telefonica" e "I figli di questa terra" -- che coprono idealmente l'arco della sua produzione poetica, dalla gioventù all'eta matura.

Small angle scattering study of poly(methylmethacrylate)-block-poly(ethylene oxide) block co-polymer in aqueous solution

A combined Small Angle X ray (SAXS) and Neutron (SANS) Scattering study of aqueous solutions of a symmetric block copolymer consisting of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) moieties is presented. The polymer forms slightly polydisperse spherical micelles in a wide range of concentration (0.03 – 6.7 w/V) and temperature (20°C ≤ T ≤ 65°C). A good description of the SANS data is obtained using a polydisperse core-shell model with a structure factor for a modified hard sphere potential. In this case, the gender perspective is an essential condition to make a legal correct interpretation because its postulates influence any notion and course of legal action. Italica (Seville, Spain): use of local marble in Augustan age

This study concerns 51 marble finds made of “Cipollino verde” coming from the ancient city of Italica (north of the modern city of Santiponce, 9 km NW of Seville, Spain), the earliest Roman settlement in Spain, founded in 206 B.C. The aim of this work was to determine their provenance from Greek and Italian quarries or from local quarries worked in the Iberian Peninsula. Thin-section optical microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, bulk rock chemistry and O, C and Sr stable isotope analyses were carried out. A Viscoelastic Model for the Long-Term Deflection of Segmental Prestressed Box Girders

Most of segmental prestressed concrete box girders exhibit excessive multidecade deflections unforeseeable by past and current design codes. To investigate such a behavior, mainly caused by creep and shrinkage phenomena, an effective finite element (FE) formulation is presented in this article. This formulation is developed by invoking the stationarity of an energetic principle for linear viscoelastic problems and relies on the Bazant creep constitutive law.
