International audience; Antinuclear antibodies (ANAs) are significant biomarkers in the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases in humans, done by mean of Indirect ImmunoFluorescence (IIF) method, and performed by analyzing patterns and fluorescence intensity. This paper introduces the AIDA Project (autoimmunity: diagnosis assisted by computer) developed in the framework of an Italy-Tunisia cross-border cooperation and its preliminary results. A database of interpreted IIF images is being collected through the exchange of images and double reporting and a Gold Standard database, containing around 1000 double reported images, has been settled. International audience; Three core samples were taken from zones offshore from the Mejerda River Delta (Tunisia) and analyzed formajor and trace elements to assess their relationships with organic matter, monosulfides and carbonates, aswell as for pollution and bioavailability. Chemical speciation,ΣSEM/AVS, the enrichment factor (EF) and thegeo-accumulation index (I-geo) were used. Iron, cadmium, lead and zinc – the most frequently mined metalsin the Mejerda catchment – were found as contaminants in the offshore areas. Closterocerus chamaeleon (Girault) (Hymenoptera Eulophidae), parasitoid of the Eucalyptus gall wasp Ophelimus maskelli (Ashmead) (Hymenoptera Eulophidae) has been recorded for the first time in Tunisia in July 2007. This record suggests that 14 months after its release in Sicily, in May 2006, it has spread over Sicily Channel.

First Record of Leptocybe invasa and Ophelimus maskelli Eucalyptus Gall Wasps in Tunisia

Two Australian gall wasps were detected for the first time in Tunisia on the foliage of Eucalyptus camaldulensis trees. Leptocybe invasa was detected in 2004, while Ophelimus maskelli in 2006. L. invasa makes galls on petioles, leaf midribs and young branches whereas O. maskelli induces galls on limbs. Vigilance is recommended when seedlings are carried to plantation.

Checklist of the vascular plants collected during the 12th “Iter Mediterraneum” in Tunisia, 24 March – 4 April 2014

The vascular plants (plus one alga) collected during Iter Mediterraneum XII of OPTIMA in North Tunisia have been studied. In all, 1374 gatherings were made from 43 localities in the “Cap Bon” region, “Dorsale Tunisienne”, “Tunisie du Nord-Est”, “Vallée de la Medjedah”, “Mogods” and “Kroumirie” areas. They belong to 82 families and 539 species or subspecies. Three taxa are new for the flora of Tunisia (Cerastium diffusum subsp. gussonei, Senecio leucanthemifolius subsp. mauritanicus, and Ulmus minor subsp. canescens), 7 represent new records for the “Kroumirie”, 15 for the “Mogods”, 3 for the “Tunisie du Nord-Est”, 2 for the “Dorsale Tunisienne”, and 8 for “Cap Bon”

Hyacinthoides kroumiriensis sp.nov. (Hyacinthaceae): a new species from North West of Tunisia

Hyacinthoides kroumiriensis El Mokni, Domina, Sebei& El Aouni, a new species in Hyacinthaceae from Kroumiria region, North West of Tunisia, is described and illustrated. Morphological characteristics with illustrations, habitat and description of the new species are provided, in addition to a diagnostic comparison with one phenotypically similar species within the same clade.
