Työrauha on koulumaailmassa asia, jonka jokainen opettaja kohtaa päivittäisessä työssään. Opettajan auktoriteetti eri muodoissa, vuorovaikutus ja yhteistyö ovat tutkimusten mukaan työrauhan rakentamisen ja ylläpitämisen avaintekijöitä. Niistä opettaja saa koottua itselleen sopivimmat työkalut työrauhan luomiseen. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää, millä tavoin opettajat luovat ja ylläpitävät työrauhaa luokassaan sekä millaisia haasteita he näkevät työrauhan ylläpitämisessä. The aim of this dissertation is to qualitatively describe and explain bad leader- ship and the role of the bad leader within. The dissertation consists of five orig- inal articles and the introductory section. The study is based on the foundation formed by research on bad leadership and research on discourse analysis. The focus is on the role of language in the construction, reconstruction and mainte- nance of meanings. The first of the articles contains the description of the discursive approach applied in the studies. Johanna Catani tarkasteli tutkimuksessaan yritystapahtumaa, sen merkityksellisyyttä brändi-kokemuksena sekä tapahtumaan liittyviä kulttuurisia tekijöitä.Catani havaitsi, että yritystapahtumat koetaan merkityksellisiksi niistä saatavan yhteisöllisyyden tunteen vuoksi. Check in–check out (CICO) is a widely used and studied behavioural intervention. Although CICO is an effective way to support pupils’ behaviour in a school context, not all pupils benefit from basic CICO. A single-case experimental study was designed to evaluate the effects of CICO Plus support (CICO Plus) for participants whose behaviour was determined to be non-responsive to basic CICO. Physical activity (PA) and body mass index (BMI) are consistently associated with motor coordination (MC) in children. However, we know very little how BMI in early childhood associates with MC later in childhood. This study investigated associations between BMI in early childhood and BMI, PA, and MC in middle childhood. Children aged 5 to 7 years (n = 64, 32 girls) were measured for MC using Körperkoordinationstest für Kinder (KTK) and for moderate-to-vigorous PA (MVPA) using triaxial accelerometers. The children's developing media competences and media skills are evaluated in this article on the basis of the evaluation indicator developed by Hautaviita (2012). The indicator has been developed for measuring the 6–9-year-old children's (the preschoolers and the pupils in grades 1-2) media competences. In it, the children's developing media skills are divided into practical, social, language and ethical media competences, of which this article concentrates on the last two, language and ethical media competences.
