Increased Gamma Connectivity in the Human Prefrontal Cortex during theBereitschaftspotential

2017

The Bereitschaftspotential (BP) is a slow negative cortical potential preceding voluntary movement. Since movement preparation is dependent upon the synchronous activity of a variety of neurons, BP may develop through the exchange of information among motor-related neurons. However, the relationship between BP and information flow is not yet well-known. In the present study, we aimed to investigate how the connectivity in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) changes during the occurrence of BP. Electrocorticography (ECoG) was recorded in five patients with epilepsy. The subjects performed self-paced hand grasping. We compared the intraregional connectivity between PFC and non-PFC regions using parti…

Catalytic condensation of aromatic aldehydes with acetone on activated Mg-Al mixed oxides

2004

Abstract The factors affecting the aldol condensation of some model aromatic aldehydes (benzaldehyde, the three isomers of F-benzaldehyde and 2-naphthaldeyde) with acetone have been investigated using heterogeneous catalysts obtained by the calcination of hydrotalcite-type (HT) precursors at 773 K for 8 h, followed by rehydration at room temperature for 7 h under a flow of N 2 saturated with water vapour. At 273 K the main product was the β-hydroxy-ketone, while at 318 K it mainly dehydrated to the corresponding trans -arylideneacetone, with small amounts ( cis -arylideneacetone, 1,3-diarylideneacetone and 4-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-pentanone. High reaction times favoured the formation of trans -…

Données expérimentales et modélisation d’adsorption des systèmes N2(g)/montmorillonite potassique de Camp-Berteau et N2(g)/hydrotalcite carbonatée

1999

Resume In this paper capacities of adsorption of nitrogen onto two clays at 77 K are compared and analyzed. One system is a montmorillonite of Camp-Berteau saturated by potassium cation and the second one is an hydrotalcite saturated by carbonate anion. Adsorbed amounts have been obtained using a volumetric technique. So it is shown that the smectite adsorbed more than the hydrotalcite at the same relative pressure of nitrogen. The modelling of experimental data by various theories of adsorption as de Brunauer, Emmett et Teller (BET) and t-method are used to calculate the specific surface and to have access to the porosity of these materials at 77 K. Then it is shown that the adsorption of …

Layered Double Hydroxides: A Toolbox for Chemistry and Biology

2019

Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are an emergent class of biocompatible inorganic lamellar nanomaterials that have attracted significant research interest owing to their high surface-to-volume ratio, the capability to accumulate specific molecules, and the timely release to targets. Their unique properties have been employed for applications in organic catalysis, photocatalysis, sensors, drug delivery, and cell biology. Given the widespread contemporary interest in these topics, time-to-time it urges to review the recent progresses. This review aims to summarize the most recent cutting-edge reports appearing in the last years. It firstly focuses on the application of LDHs as catalysts in re…

Problematyka kształtowania zrównoważonych systemów transportowych peryferyjnych obszarów miast na przykładzie dzielnicy przemysłowej Metalchem w Opolu

2015
