Introduction: In 2009, two cases of seizures in adolescents following quadrivalent human papillomavirus vaccine (qHPV) administration generated important media attention, and adversely affected public trust in this vaccine. Our objectives were to describe suspected adverse reactions (SARs) reported to the Pharmacovigilance Centre in the Valencian Community (PCVC) after administration of HPV vaccine, and to compare reporting rates of syncope and seizures following this vaccine with those of other vaccines administered to girls aged 13–15 years. 60-Hour Sleep Deprivation Affects Submaximal but Not Maximal Physical Performance

The effect of 60-h sleep deprivation (SD) on physical performance and motor control was studied. Twenty cadets were measured for aerobic performance (VO2) before and immediately after the SD period. Maximal strength and EMG of the knee extensor muscles were measured before and after 60 h of SD. Balance, reaction times and motor control were assessed every evening and morning during the SD period. En este artículo se analiza la diferente reacción que los mercados laborales italiano y español han tenido ante la crisis económica: la tasa de paro italiana entre 2006 y 2012, ha crecido relativamente poco (pasando del 7,6 al 10,9%) mientras que la es-pañola se ha casi triplicado, pasando del 9 al 24,4%. Tarkastelun kohteena on yhtäältä 1980-luvun ”republikanistinen synteesi”, jossa Ranskan kansalaisuuden pohjaksi määritellään republikanistinen kansalaisuusrakennelma. Sustainable development is included in curricula in many countries – from primary to tertiary education, as well as in teacher training. Its principles also encompass language teaching, e.g., through enhancing equality of languages, multilingualism and multiculturalism.
