This paper addresses the aspect of the meaningfulness of a national assessment in English as a foreign language, applying the fairness framework proposed by Kunnan (2018). We compared students’ performance on two receptive language skills of listening and reading on two subsequent national evaluations in Finland, taken by students at the end of compulsory basic education and at the end of general upper secondary education, respectively. Tässä tutkielmassa tarkastellaan Santeri Alkion (1862–1930) näkemystä poliittisesta keskustalaisuudesta. Tutkimustehtävänä on selvittää oliko maalaisliitto keskustapuolue vai eturyhmäpuolue sen varhaisvaiheessa. Maalaisliitto kasvoi tutkimusajanjaksolla pienestä puolueesta keskisuureksi ja suureksi puolueeksi. Sen painoarvo kasvoi. Puolue teki yhteistyötä oikeistopuolueiden ja sosialistien kanssa. Taitoluistelijoiden tasapainotutkimuksen taustalla oli ammattivalmentajien mielenkiinto selvittää yksin- ja muodostelmaluistelijoiden eroja fyysisessä suorituskyvyssä, sekä sitä kautta tasapainokyvyssä. Tutkimus suoritettiin Jyväskylässä kevään ja kesän 2010 aikana. Tutkimukseen osallistui kaksi 9-14 -ikäisten tyttöjen koeryhmää, 20 yksin- ja 18 muodostelmaluistelijaa. He suorittivat fyysisiä ominaisuuksia sisältävät kenttätestit sekä tasapainotestejä sisältävät laboratoriotestit. Here, we compared short-term behavioural (activity) and physiological (corticosterone levels, CORT) responses of Rana arvalis tadpoles from two divergent populations (acid origin, AOP, versus neutral origin, NOP) to acid and predator stress. This dissertation explored the effects of strength and balance training (SBT) as part of a multimodal geriatric intervention on physical functioning and health-related factors associated with training participation in a community-dwelling population aged 75 years and over.
