Nous mobilisons les principales explications théoriques des rachats d’actions et nous proposons une étude empirique de plusieurs centaines de programmes de rachats afin de justifier l’intention volontaire des dirigeants de ne pas engager des rachats importants en dépit de ceux annoncés provoquant ainsi un découplage. Archaeological surveys by test trenching and two preventive excavations of the Institut national de recherches archéologiques préventives (Inrap) in 2001 and 2008 preceding the construction of a housing area in Rurange-lès-Thionville (Lorraine, Moselle) allowed documenting and investigating a Gallo-Roman farmstead of modest size. This farmstead, covering a total surface of more than 7000 m², was composed of different buildings typical for a Gallo-Roman agricultural exploitation. This monograph synthesizes several studies spanning from dynamical systems in the statistical analysis of sequences, to analysis of algorithms in random trees and discrete stochastic processes. These works find applications in various fields ranging from biological sequences to linear regression models, branching processes, through functional statistics and estimates of risk indicators for insurances. All the established results use, in one way or another, the recursive property of the structure under study, by highlighting invariants such as martingales, which are at the heart of this monograph, as tools as well as objects of study.

Colloque Matériaux et mise en forme des composants de centrales nucléaires; National audience; L'objectif du programme THERMIDE est d'optimiser le procédé de fabrication des composants métalliques par une meilleure maîtrise des déformations et le contrôle de la taille de grain. Devant la complexité du problème, une attention particulière est portée à la modélisation de la recristallisation dynamique activée durant la déformation à chaud des métaux. Les applications portent sur différentes nuances d'acier pour composants nucléaires ainsi qu'un matériau " école " (le tantale). La simulation d'un traitement thermique est également abordée dans l'intention de valider le logiciel FORGE®.

Recently, a new class of optical components is appeared. Its main characteristic is to be formed by a periodical sub-wavelength pattern, leading to the apparition of a spectral domain where propagation of light inside the structure is forbidden -- a photonic bandgap. This work is devoted to the study in the near- and far-field of two kinds of periodical optical components: photonic crystals (PCs) and nanostructured metallic films that exhibit the so-called enhanced transmission. The paper scrutinizes the consequences of the adoption of a currency board arrangement (CBA) by some emerging economies during the 1990s. Considering the justifications o f this choice and the different setting-up contexts, it focuses on the implications of a CBA on the financial system and the real economy. A high degree of liquidity of the banking system is required in the absence of a lender-of-last-resort, and the automatic money supply process strictly disciplines the fiscal policy.
