Earth has recently entered the new era of the Anthropocene, during which the rise of human activities are impacting for the first time ecosystems and climate on the global scale. Since the 1960s the green revolution has improved food production in quantity using industrially-designed agriculture, which has led to global pollution by pesticides and losses of food quality, biodiversity and soil carbon. Baudemont, le Pré-de-la-Bordonne (Saône-et-Loire) : sépultures et mobilier danubien de la première moitie du ve siècle

A necropolis at Baudemont (Saône-et-Loire) that was partially excavated in 1894 has revealed approximately fifteen graves datable to the end of the 4th and 5th centuries ad. Others seem to have been emptied during the first half of the 19th century. The discovery of a negative of the objects collected in 1894 indicates the pieces originating in the danubian area, which probably reflects the presence of a group of eastern Germans among those buried in the necropolis. These discoveries offer new perspectives on the Gallic context during the 5th century.

In the context of climate change, as reflected by a dryer Mediterraneanbasin, this thesis focused on the study of the contemporary and future variability(1957-2100) of the wintertime (September to April) very long dryspells events (called VLDSe) in the Mediterranean basin.
