Variation in meat quality characteristics between Landrace and Sicilian pigs

This study compared the meat quality of Sicilian and Landrace pigs breeds and supported these results with biochemical and histological measurements on the samples collected from the m. Longissimus Dorsi, at the level of the 8th thoracic vertebra, before electrical stimulation. Twenty clinically healthy swine, 10 male (5 for each pig breed) and 10 female (5 for each pig breed), were slaughtered at 1 year of age at a body mass of 135±10 kg and 150±10 respectively for Sicilian and Landrace pigs. Catalytic and photocatalytic tests for propene hydration to 2-propanol were successfully carried out by using binary materials obtained by supporting a Keggin or Wells-Dawson heteropolyacids via impregnation method to commercial SiO2 or TiO2. (Photo)catalytic hydration was studied in gas-solid regime by using a continuous (photo)reactor working at atmospheric pressure and 80 °C. The alcohol was the main product. Scopo del presente contributo è esplorare le implicazioni per l’apprendimento che hanno luogo alle frontiere della realtà in cui il virtuale e il reale si integrano per creare nuovi scenari di apprendimento. Sono dapprima illustrate le caratteristiche della Realtà Aumentata per poi approfondire le teorie dell’apprendimento e le pratiche didattiche che consentono di integrarle efficacemente in ambito scolastico ed accademico. Ci si sofferma, infine, su alcune peculiarità utili ai fini didattici per poi esaminare alcune criticità e questioni ancora aperte.
