Non-Model Based Method for an Automation of 3D Acquisition and Post-Processing

Most of the automation for 3D acquisition concerns objects with simple shape, like mechanical parts. For cultural heritage artefacts, the process is more complex, and it doesn't exist general solution nowadays. This paper presents a method to generate a complete 3D model of cultural heritage artefacts. In a first step, MVC is used to solve the view planning problem. Then, holes remaining in 3D model are detected, and their features are calculated to finish acquisition. Different post-processing are applied on each view to increase quality of the 3D model. This procedure has been tested with simulated scanner, before being implemented on a motion system with five degrees of freedom.

ABSTRACT The genome of “ Candidatus Portiera aleyrodidarum,” the primary endosymbiont of the whitefly Bemisia tabaci (Mediterranean species), is reported. It presents a reduced genome (357 kb) encoding the capability to synthetize, or participate in the synthesis of, several amino acids and carotenoids, being the first insect endosymbiont capable of supplying carotenoids.

Tensions in Information System Artefacts: Explaining Land Information Systems’ Sub-optimal Impact in Indonesia

Part 14: Current Issues; International audience; Despite the advancement of more integrated land information systems (LIS), conflicts and disputes over land in Indonesia remain. Our study seeks to explain this situation. Using an interpretive case study conducted in Eastern Indonesia and framed within the concepts of information system (IS) artefacts, we find that tensions within and between information, technology, and social artefacts help to explain the sub-optimal LIS impacts. Inconsistent information, unsuitable technology, and conflicting social arrangements are examples of such tensions. Bakalaura darbā „Penkules evaņģēliski luteriskās baznīcas vēsture” tika pētīta baznīcas un tās draudzes vēsture laika posmā no baznīcas celšanas 1865.gada līdz mūsdienām. Darbā galvenokārt apskatīta baznīcas celšanas vēsture, tās mācītāju un draudzes darbība dažādos laika posmos. Darba gaitā secināts, ka Penkules ev. lut. baznīcas un draudzes dzīve bijusi notikumiem bagātīga, kā arī jāpiemin tas, ka par šo tēmu bija pieejams salīdzinoši maz informācijas daudzums, no kura bija jāizveido detalizēts apraksts par Penkules baznīcu un draudzi. Izveidotais darbs palīdzētu apzināt un saglabāt aizmirstos kultūras pieminekļus Latvijas teritorijā.
