Attēlu fona modelēšanas algoritmi

2019

Agroecosystems shape population genetic structure of the greenhouse whitefly in Northern and Southern Europe

2014

International audience; Background: To predict further invasions of pests it is important to understand what factors contribute to the genetic structure of their populations. Cosmopolitan pest species are ideal for studying how different agroecosystems affect population genetic structure within a species at different climatic extremes. We undertook the first population genetic study of the greenhouse whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum), a cosmopolitan invasive herbivore, and examined the genetic structure of this species in Northern and Southern Europe. In Finland, cold temperatures limit whiteflies to greenhouses and prevent them from overwintering in nature, and in Greece, milder tempera…

Genetic diversity of Iberian populations ofBemisia tabaci(Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) based on random amplified polymorphic DNA-polymerase chain reaction

2001

The genetic structure of six Iberian populations of the whitefly Bemisia tabaci, two of them biotype Q, one biotype B, and the other three a mixture of both, has been studied using random amplified polymorphic DNA-polymerase chain reaction (RAPD-PCR). A total of 336 individuals was completely discriminated by means of 234 scored bands. Separate analyses of molecular variance of haploid males and diploid females using the pairwise number of differences between haplotypes showed that biotypes contribute significantly more to the observed variability than populations within biotypes. On average, gene flow between two biotypes of the same population is lower than between populations of identica…

«Mostruoso a vedere un Pergolesi coi baffi». Il mito in scena nel 1857 tra Milano (Solera - Ronchetti Monteviti) e Napoli (Quercia - Serrao)

2015

During the Nineteenth Century, the fame reached by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi was so large that the historical figure of the composer born in Jesi was transformed in a “dramatis persona”. Pergolesi appears as a character in two different operas dated to 1857. The first one is “Pergolese” by Temistocle Solera and Stefano Ronchetti Monteviti, performed in Milan at the Teatro alla Scala; the second one is “Pergolesi”, a “melodramma semiserio” by Fedrico Quercia set to music by Paolo Serrao and staged at the Teatro del Fondo in Naples. The two works mix historical elements with details drawn from pure fantasy. Their main purpose is to exalt the figure of the unfortunate and tormented artist, t…

Hatte Stefan I. von Serbien eine tochter namens Komnene? Zur aktue llen diskussion über die Chomatenos-akten zu Stefan Nemanjic und Seinem bruder Sava

2013

This contribution examines the article ?Stefan Nemanjic i njegov brat Sava u spisima Dimitrija Homatina? by Vlada Stankovic (2012) critically. On the basis of Chomatenos files (nos. 1, 3, 10, 13 and 86), he tried to obtain new details about in what way and with what results political and ecclesiastical communication between Epiros and Serbia took place in the period 1215-1219/20. In the course of this, as this present study shows, he repeatedly reached rash, questionable or untenable conclusions. Also the question raised by him - with a critical intention - about the name of Stefan Nemanjic?s daughter is now once again discussed and finally decided in such a way as this was already done in …

Endosymbiont communities in Bemisia tabaci: a metagenomic approach

2014

Stefin A and cathepsin B and L circulating serum levels in patients with malignant or non-malignant liver diseases: A preliminary report

1995

Experimental and clinical studies have recently shown a significant correlation between increased activity levels of lysosomal proteinases Cathepsin B, L in tumor tissues and malignant progression. On the basis of these findings we have undertaken some preliminary studies to evaluate the clinical impact of these enzymes and their intracellular inhibitor Stefin A in patients with malignant and non malignant liver diseases. The serum levels of Cathepsin B, L and Stefin A resulted significantly increased (mean 7 folds) in patients with liver diseases as compared to healthy subjects . these findings suggest that Cathepsin B, Cathepsin L, and Stefin A serum levels may be potentially useful as pr…

Learner identity in EFL: An analysis of digital texts of identity in higher education

2018

This study explores learner identity (LI) in digital texts of identity (DTI) produced by college learners in English as a foreign language (EFL). In so doing, it aims to shed light on learners’ connections of their learning experiences across time and settings, and their impact on the various learner identities that form their LI. It also intends to elucidate how learners construct powerful learner identities in and through their digital discourses. To this end, 51 DTI were collected and scrutinized, following studies on LI, critical and poststructuralist discourse analysis, and “thematic” and “dialogic/performative” analysis within narrative research. Learners established connections betwe…
