Time-Dependent Multiple Depot Vehicle Routing Problem on Megapolis Network under Wardrop's Traffic Flow Assignment

In this work multiple depot vehicle routing problem is considered in case of variable travel times between nodes on a metropolis network. This variant of the classic multiple depot vehicle routing problem is motivated by the fact that in urban contexts variable traffic conditions play an essential role and can not be ignored in order to perform a realistic optimization. Time-travel matrices corresponding to each period of planning horizon were formed by solving the traffic assignment problem in conjunction with shortest path problem. Atmospheric Turbulence Effects Removal on Infrared Sequences Degraded by Local Isoplanatism

When observing an object horizontally at a long distance, degradations due to atmospheric turbulence often occur. Different methods have already been tested to get rid of this kind of degradation, especially on infrared sequences. It has been shown that the Wiener filter applied locally on each frame of a sequence allows to obtain good results in terms of edges, while the regularization by the Laplacian operator applied in the same way provides good results in terms of noise removal in uniform areas. In this article, we present hybrid methods which take advantages of both Wiener filter and Laplacian regularization.

In the standard deflation-base d approach the row vectors of the unmixing matrix are extracted one after another always using the same nonlinearities. Stationarity Test for Wireless Communication Channels

In this article, we propose a new test to determine the intervals of stationarity for wireless communication channels. The intervals of stationarity are identified by comparing the delay power spectral density (PSD) estimated at different time instances. The performance of the proposed stationarity test has been evaluated based on the synthetic data generated using a channel simulator. The analysis of the stationarity intervals for two radio communication channels measured in different propagation scenarios reveals that the number and the length of the stationarity intervals decrease as the dimensions of the channel matrix increase.

Parameter optimization for amplify-and-forward relaying with imperfect channel estimation

Cooperative diversity is a promising technology for future wireless networks. In this paper, we consider a cooperative communication system operating in an amplify-and-forward (AF) mode with an imperfectly-known relay fading channel. It is assumed that a pilot symbol assisted modulation (PSAM) scheme with linear minimum mean square estimator (LMMSE) is used for the channel estimation. A simple and easy-to-evaluate asymptotical upper bound (AUB) of the symbol-error-rate (SER) is derived for uncoded AF cooperative systems with quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) constellations. Accelerating Application Migration in HPC

It is predicted that the number of cores per node will rapidly increase with the upcoming era of exascale supercomputers. As a result, multiple applications will have to share one node and compete for the (often scarce) resources available on this node. Furthermore, the growing number of hardware components causes a decrease in the mean time between failures. Application migration between nodes has been proposed as a tool to mitigate these two problems: Bottlenecks due to resource sharing can be addressed by load balancing schemes which migrate applications; and hardware errors can often be tolerated by the system if faulty nodes are detected and processes are migrated ahead of time.

During 2017, digital audio broadcasting (DAB) replaces frequency modulation (FM) broadcasting and becomes the only technology for national terrestrial audio broadcasting services in Norway. As Norway is the first country that replaces FM completely with DAB, it is of great importance to measure the signal strength of such a technology in massive deployments and to tune a simulation model as a reference for future studies.
