Recent empirical and theoretical work suggests that there is a close relationship between visual working memory (WM) and visuospatial attention. Here, we investigated whether visuospatial attention was involved in maintaining object representations in visual WM. Tutkimus tarkastelee lastentarhanopettajien työhön liittyviä huippukokemuksia. Teoreettisena lähtökohtana toimii Csikszentmihalyin flowkäsite. Ilmiötä lähestytään kolmen tutkimusongelman avulla, joilla selvitetään huippukokemusten ominaisuuksia, työtiimin ja -yhteisön merkitystä niiden ilmenemiseen sekä huippukokemusten yhteyttä työhyvinvointiin. Äidinkieliset puhujat osaavat usein luonnostaan mukauttaa puhettaan keskustellessaan ei-äidinkielisen puhekumppanin kanssa, jotta ymmärtäminen on helpompaa. On kuitenkin vaikeaa arvioida sopivaa mukauttamisen määrää. Tässä artikkelissa esittelen pro gradu -tutkielmani (Taivassalo 2016) tulosten pohjalta nousseita ajatuksia yksinkertaistetun puheen mahdollisista vaikutuksista kielen oppimiseen. Tutkielmassani tarkastelin äidinkielisten lastentarhanopettajien ja toista kieltään käyttävien lasten kahdenvälisiä keskusteluja kysymysten ja vastausten näkökulmasta keskustelunanalyysin ja vuorovaikutuslingvistiikan metodien avulla. nonPeerReviewed
