Kuvallis-tekstuaalinen argumentaatio on kommunikoitu osin kuvien ja osin tekstin avulla. Tässä pro gradu-tutkielmassa tehtävänäni on selvittää, miten kuvallis-tekstuaalista argumentaatiota voidaan analysoida systemaattisesti ja selkeästi pragma-dialektisessa viitekehyksessä. Tässä tutkielmassa tarkastelen Facebookissa jaettujen uutisten saatetekstejä. Aihe on ajankohtainen ja tärkeä, sillä uutisia seurataan yhä useammin sosiaalisen median palvelujen kautta. Sosiaalisessa mediassa uutisen otsikon, uutiskuvan ja ingressin lisäksi lukijaa lähestytään uutiseen liitettävän saatetekstin kautta. Saatetekstillä onkin paljon merkitystä siinä, päätyykö lukija avaamaan uutista. Il contributo affronta il tema dell'apporto del pensiero medico antico, in particolare della medicina ippocratica, alle concezioni fiorite tra VI e V secolo in tema di fecondazione e generazione umana con specifico riferimento alla teorizzazione in materia del filosofo Parmenide. Accogliendo in larga parte le teorie, per altro diffuse anche in ambito non specificamente medico, sulla generazione basate sull'affermazione del principio dell'esistenza di un seme sia maschile che femminile, i medici ippocratici hanno optato per una concezione della generazione in cui l'apporto della madre non è considerato inferiore a quello del padre.

All-fiber processing of terahertz-bandwidth signals based on cascaded tapered fibers

Tapered single-mode fibers are employed to perform dynamic pulse shaping in a bandwidth of several terahertz. The transfer function of cascaded biconical tapers is controlled by introducing a phase shift into one of them through mechanical stretching. It is a simple and low-cost technique with potential to process signals with bandwidths as large as those allocated by standard optical fiber while introducing little degradation. I will trace the metaphors of voice in the discourses of feminisms as articulated by Judith Fetterley, Kaja Silverman, Julia Kristeva, and Hélène Cixous. I will analyze the presuppositions of their vocal or sound imagery, paying special attention to the implications of the essentialism/constructivism opposition. It is not my intention to provide a comprehensive account of voice in feminisms, nor to make sweeping generalizations on the basis of a very limited corpus.
