Design Scheme of New Tetragonal Heusler Compounds for Spin-Transfer Torque Applications and its Experimental Realization

Band Jahn-Teller type structural instabilities of cubic Mn(2)YZ Heusler compounds causing tetragonal distortions can be predicted by ab initio band-structure calculations. This allows for identification of new Heusler materials with tunable magnetic and structural properties that can satisfy the demands for spintronic applications, such as in spin-transfer torque-based devices.
Crystal structure and Hirshfeld surface analysis of [N(CH3)4][2,2′-Fe(1,7-closo-C2B9H11)2]

Abstract This work investigates the meta -ferrabis(dicarbollide) anion that was isolated as salt of tetramethylammonium. The structure of the obtained crystal consisted of discrete [2,2′-Fe(1,7- closo -C 2 B 9 H 11 ) 2 ] − anions and disordered [N(CH 3 ) 4 ] + cations. The anion had a considerable chemical stability ensured by ionic and Van der Waals interactions. Thus, Hirshfeld surfaces and fingerprint plot were used to visualize, explore, and quantify intermolecular interactions in the crystal lattice of the title compound. This investigation proved that close contacts were dominated by H⋯H interactions.

Abstract The application of supported-liquid membrane (SLM) technique for effective extraction of N -(phosphonomethyl)glycine (glyphosate) and its primary metabolite aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA) from juices (orange, grapefruit, apple and blackcurrant) in combination with HPLC-UV detection after derivatization with p -toluenesulphonyl chloride (TsCl) is presented. The influence of various parameters such as the composition of acceptor phase, flow-rate, concentration of analytes, on the performance of extraction procedure, was studied. Aims To investigate women's childbirth experiences and their relation to self-esteem development in the postpartum year. Design A mixed methods study. Methods Women (N = 125) completed survey questionnaires regarding their self-esteem and childbirth experiences at three time points in 2020–2021: third trimester of pregnancy (T1), 4–8 weeks postpartum (T2) and 1 year postpartum (T3). The survey results were analysed using qualitative thematic and quantitative path analyses with latent change factors. International audience; The reactivity of various polyamines with diethyloxalate has been investigated. It appears that, in similar experimental conditions, primary diamines give predominantly [2+2] adducts while the use of secondary benzylated polyamines results in [1+1] condensation. Termoelektrisko īpašību pētījumi tetratiotetracēna atvasinājumu plānās kārtiņās

Darbā tika izveidotas organisku pusvadītāju - tetratiotetracēna (TTT) atvasinājumu plānas kārtiņas, izmantojot termiskās iztvaicēšanas metodi vakuumā. Izmantotie atvasinājumi ir ar metil, ¬¬metoksi, fenil un izopropil grupu aizvietojumiem 2. un 8. tetratiotetracēna molekulas pozīcijā, dažādās kombinācijās. Tika pētīta plāno kārtiņu morfoloģija, izmantojot ar skenējošā elektronu mikroskopu iegūtos attēlus, kā arī termoelektriskās īpašības, nosakot to elektrisko vadītspēju un Zēbeka koeficientu. 2-Methylresorcinarene: a very high packing coefficient in a mono-anion based dimeric capsule and the X-ray crystal structure of the tetra-anion

Mono- and tetra-deprotonated 2-methylresorcinarene anions (1 and 2) as their trans-1,4-diammoniumcyclohexane (TDAC)2+ inclusion complexes are reported. The mono-anion forms a fully closed dimeric capsule [1·H2O·MeOH]22− with a cavity volume of 165 Å3 and (TDAC)2+ as the guest with an extremely high packing coefficient, PC = 84.2%, while the tetra-anion forms a close-packed structure with two structurally isomeric tetra-anions 2a and 2b with a 50 : 50 ratio in the crystal lattice. peerReviewed
