Certain dyes in textile products, which are capable of reductively splitting into carcinogenic aromatic amines, are strictly controlled in many countries. A simple, rapid, sensitive and green chromatographic method has been developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of 4-aminophenol (4-AMP), p-phenylenediamine (p-PPD) and benzidine (BNZ), banned aromatic amines in dyeing clothes and human sweat. The separation was achieved using a micellar mobile phase of 0.1 M SDS, 4% 1- butanol (v/v) buffered to pH 7 with sodium dihydrogen phosphate, flowing under isocratic mode at 1 mL/min through a C18 column. Strength prediction of a triaxially braided composite

The architecture of textile reinforcement affects the deformation and failure behavior of the textile reinforced composites. This paper presents an approximate method that incorporates the in-plane periodic meso structure of the textile composite in finite element models. In this approach, the representative unit cell (RUC) of a textile composite is divided into sub-cells. Instead of obtaining a homogeneous equivalent, these sub-cells are idealized and represented with laminates of different layups using shell elements. The present study focuses on surface tailoring and water barrier attributes of zinc oxide (ZnO)-polyester composite textile materials. The surface properties, such as surface topography and roughness, composite compositions as well as thermal stability of ZnO-100% polyester textile composite materials treated through a padding process with different concentrations of ZnO dispersions as active agent in water and methanol were studied. The central idea of the present research aims at achieving textile substrates through an efficient inclusion of a wild black cherry extract into the grafting agent-monochlorotriazinyl-β-cyclodextrin (MCT-β-CD). The methodology consists in a permanent/irreversible entrapment onto the fibres surface of the natural extract through inclusion mechanism. Water Absorption of Hemp Fibre Nonwovens Modified with Metal and Metal Oxide Nanoparticles

In this paper changes of ability of hemp fibre nonwovens to absorb water after deposition of metal and metal oxide nanoparticles were investigated. Moisture content of samples after storage in different climatic conditions was determined using thermogravimetric method. The obtained results were compared with the results of previous research based on investigation of water absorption of metalized woven fabric of bast fibre. Analysis of measurements showed that nonwoven samples with surface treated in plasma attract water slightly better than sample with untreated surface; this was more pronounced in woven fabric samples. Application of textile fibres from tire recycling in asphalt mixtures

The tire rubber obtained from end-of-life car and truck tires has been successfully recycled, among other applications, in the asphalt industry by providing a mean to get asphalt mixtures with superior performance. Textile fibres are another component derived from tire recycling typically disposed of in landfills or used in energetic valorisation. Este trabajo tiene el objetivo de estudiar los niveles relativos de precios y calidad de las importaciones españolas de productos textiles según su origen geográfico; para ello, se calculan índices translog de precios que permiten atribuir las diferencias en el valor unitario de los flujos de importación a los distintos niveles de calidad de los productos que los integran y a diferencias en sus precios. El análisis se lleva a cabo para el período 1993-1997, con una desagregación de seis dígitos de la Nomenclatura Combinada y datos de EUROSTAT.
