The authorities of the Republic of Poland in exile tried to follow and analyse the situation in Poland after World War 2. The developments in the years 1947–1949 which aroused particular interest among emigrants were the elections to the Legislative Sejm, the issue of the Oder-Neisse borderline and the sovietisation of Poland. These topics were raised by the president in his speeches, by the government during its meetings and by the National Council of Poland during its sessions. Przedmiot artykułu stanowią rozważania dotyczące konsekwencji Brexitu dla funkcjonowania granicy pomiędzy Irlandią a Irlandią Północną. Autor wyjaśnia, czym jest ta granica w warunkach, kiedy Wielka Brytania nie jest już członkiem Unii Europejskiej, a więc przebieg tej granicy może stanowić barierę dla swobodnego przepływu osób, towarów, kapitału i usług. On March 4, 1848, thanks to the decisive impetus given by Victor Schoelcher, the principle of the abolition of slavery was proclaimed by decree and a « Commission for the preparation of an act of immediate emancipation in all the colonies of the Republic » was established. Vuonna 1995 Irlannin tasavallan hallitus päätti pitää jo toistamiseen kansanäänestyksen avioeron laillistamisesta. Ensimmäistä kertaa kansanäänestys oli pidetty asian tiimoilta vuonna 1986. Tällöin lakiehdotus ei mennyt läpi yli 60 % äänestäessä sitä vastaan. Vuonna 1995 tilanne oli kuitenkin toinen, ja lakiehdotus meni läpi vajaalla 9 000 äänellä. Ponadto obywatele realizują swoje prawa (jak np. wolność słowa, czy wolny dostęp do informacji) i mają możliwość angażowania się w życie polityczne kraju. W artykule przedstawiono pokrótce podejście Polaków do demokracji. Następnie opisano pojęcie demokracji medialnej i mediatyzację polityki. Końcowa część artykułu została poświęcona przybliżeniu wpływu sondaży oraz opinii publicznej na decyzje wyborcze obywateli.
