Anotācija Šī promocijas darba nosaukums ir „Džihāds islāmā, tā izpratnes Eiropā un Latvijas musulmaņu kopienās XXI gs.”. Darbs ir starpdisciplinārs un sastāv no trim daļām. Pirmā daļa ir vēsturiski-teoloģiska un aplūko džihāda paveidus un tā evolūciju. Otra daļa ir politoloģiska un apskata garīgā un militārā džihāda izpausmes Eiropas teritorijā (jebkādu islāmticīgo darbību, kas veicama islāma labad: gan musulmaņa personīgo uzvedību, gan kolektīvus pasākumus, tāpat arī dažādas terora izpausmes). Savukārt trešā promocijas darba daļa nodarbojas ar socioloģisku izpēti un aplūko Latvijas musulmaņu kopienu locekļu izpratni/priekšstatus par džihādu.
