The KAM Theorem

2016

This theorem guarantees that, under certain assumptions, in the case of a perturbation \(\varepsilon H_{1}(\boldsymbol{J},\boldsymbol{\theta })\) with small enough ɛ, the iterated series for the generator W(θ i 0, J i ) converges (according to Newton’s procedure) and thus the invariant tori are not destroyed. The KAM theorem is valid for systems with two and more degrees of freedom. However, in the following, we shall deal exclusively with the case of two degrees of freedom.

A Kato's second type representation theorem for solvable sesquilinear forms

2017

Kato's second representation theorem is generalized to solvable sesquilinear forms. These forms need not be non-negative nor symmetric. The representation considered holds for a subclass of solvable forms (called hyper-solvable), precisely for those whose domain is exactly the domain of the square root of the modulus of the associated operator. This condition always holds for closed semibounded forms, and it is also considered by several authors for symmetric sign-indefinite forms. As a consequence, a one-to-one correspondence between hyper-solvable forms and operators, which generalizes those already known, is established.

Group-symmetric holomorphic functions on a Banach space

2016

We study the holomorphic functions on a complex Banach space E that are invariant under the action of a given group of operators on E. A great variety of situations occur depending, of course, on the group and the space. Nevertheless, in the examples we deal with, they can be described in terms of a few natural ones and functions of a finite number of variables. Fil: Aron, Richard. Abstract We prove that a singular foliation on a compact manifold admitting an adapted Riemannian metric for which all leaves are minimal must be regular. To cite this article: V. Miquel, R.A. Wolak, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Ser. I 342 (2006).

On a Theorem of Greuel and Steenbrink

2017

A famous theorem of Greuel and Steenbrink states that the first Betti number of the Milnor fibre of a smoothing of a normal surface singularity vanishes. In this paper we prove a general theorem on the first Betti number of a smoothing that implies an analogous result for weakly normal singularities.

Infinite Dimensional Holomorphy

2019

We give an introduction to vector-valued holomorphic functions in Banach spaces, defined through Frechet differentiability. Every function defined on a Reinhardt domain of a finite-dimensional Banach space is analytic, i.e. can be represented by a monomial series expansion, where the family of coefficients is given through a Cauchy integral formula. Every separate holomorphic (holomorphic on each variable) function is holomorphic. This is Hartogs’ theorem, which is proved using Leja’s polynomial lemma. For infinite-dimensional spaces, homogeneous polynomials are defined as the diagonal of multilinear mappings. A function is holomorphic if and only if it is Gâteaux holomorphic and continuous…

The horospherical Gauss-Bonnet type theorem in hyperbolic space

2006

We introduce the notion horospherical curvatures of hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space and show that totally umbilic hypersurfaces with vanishing cur- vatures are only horospheres. We also show that the Gauss-Bonnet type theorem holds for the horospherical Gauss-Kronecker curvature of a closed orientable even dimensional hypersurface in hyperbolic space. + (i1) by using the model in Minkowski space. We introduced the notion of hyperbolic Gauss indicatrices slightly modified the definition of hyperbolic Gauss maps. The notion of hyperbolic indicatrices is independent of the choice of the model of hyperbolic space. Using the hyperbolic Gauss indicatrix, we defined the principal hyperbolic curv…

Tensor products of Fréchet or (DF)-spaces with a Banach space

1992

Abstract The aim of the present article is to study the projective tensor product of a Frechet space and a Banach space and the injective tensor product of a (DF)-space and a Banach space. The main purpose is to analyze the connection of the good behaviour of the bounded subsets of the projective tensor product and of the locally convex structure of the injective tensor product with the local structure of the Banach space.

"Fixed Point Theorems for '?, ?'Contractive maps in Weak nonArchimedean Fuzzy Metric Spaces and Application"

2011

The present study introduce the notion of (ψ, ϕ)-Contractive maps in weak non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces to derive a common fixed point theorem which complements and extends the main theorems of [C.Vetro, Fixed points in weak non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces, Fuzzy Sets and System, 162 (2011), 84-90] and [D.Mihet, Fuzzy ψ-contractive mappings in non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces, Fuzzy Sets and System, 159 (2008) 739-744]. We support our result by establishing an application to product spaces.
