Hankkeen tavoitteena oli selvittää toimintaympäristön muutosten vaikutuksia kansalaistoimintaan ja tehdä suosituksia siitä, miten kansalaisyhteiskuntaa voidaan tukea. Yhdistystoiminnan asema Suomessa on säilynyt vahvana, mutta yksityisen ja julkisen sektorin toimintalogiikat ovat alkaneet yhä enemmän ohjata kansalaistoimijoita. Keskitetty johtaminen ja “asiakasajattelu” ovat lisääntyneet järjestöissä ja ne ovat ammattimaistuneet ja keskittyneet. Aim Biogeographical patterns in metacommunities are still poorly understood, and different processes are expected to occur in different habitats. We analysed the regional plant metacommunities of coastal habitats to test whether (1) the influence of space and climate differs between two habitats differentiated along the seashore–inland gradient, and (2) regional variation in species composition of these habitats can be ascribed to different metacommunity paradigms. Vegetation Patterns in the Hyperbolic Klausmeier Model with Secondary Seed Dispersal

This work focuses on the dynamics of vegetation stripes in sloped semi-arid environments in the presence of secondary seed dispersal and inertial effects. To this aim, a hyperbolic generalization of the Klausmeier model that encloses the advective downhill transport of plant biomass is taken into account. Analytical investigations were performed to deduce the wave and Turing instability loci at which oscillatory and stationary vegetation patterns arise, respectively. Abstract The paper presents the case study of lexical selection in Alzheimer-type dementia. Lexical substitutions in poem recitation and conversations of a Russian speaker, who suffered Alzheimer-type dementia, were analyzed on the background of the lexical retrieval and slip-of-the-tongue phenomena. The classification of the substitutions is worked out on the basis of the links between a target word and its substitutions. The current context plays an essential role as natural priming for a substitution in a poem recitation. Satellite technology has become increasingly affordable and accessible in the past few decades. This has enabled many newsrooms to engage with genuinely remote journalism. This chapter explores the networked nature of satellite journalism and investigates its inclusion of experts and citizens outside newsrooms. Satellite journalism uses satellite-borne technology either as a (1) part of storytelling or (2) source of information. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on kuvata yksityisyrittäjyyttä välittäjäorganisaation kautta asiantuntijatyön konseptina IT-alalla sekä lisätä työmuodon tunnettuutta. Tavoitteena on lisäksi selvittää, miten työmuodosta saisi entistä houkuttelevamman niin yritysten kuin työntekijöidenkin näkökulmasta. Työmuodolle halutaan myös löytää mahdollisia kehitysideoita sekä pohtia, voisiko se mahdollisesti soveltua myös muille toimialoille sekä tarkastella, miltä työmuodon tulevaisuus näyttää.
