A fuzzy ranking strategy for portfolio selection applied to the Spanish stock market
2007
In this paper we present a fuzzy ranking procedure for the portfolio selection problem. The uncertainty on the returns of each portfolio is approximated by means of a trapezoidal fuzzy number. The expected return and risk of the portfolio are then characteristics of that fuzzy number. A rank index that accounts for both expected return and risk is defined, allowing the decision-maker to compare different portfolios. The paper ends with an application of that fuzzy ranking strategy to the Spanish stock market.
Fuzzy Portfolio Selection Models: A Numerical Study
2012
In this chapter we analyze the numerical performance of some possibilistic models for selecting portfolios in the framework of risk-return trade-off. Portfolio optimization deals with the problem of how to allocate wealth among several assets, taking into account the uncertainty involved in the behavior of the financial markets. Different approaches for quantifying the uncertainty of the future return on the investment are considered: either assuming that the return on every individual asset is modeled as a fuzzy number or directly measuring the uncertainty associated with the return on a given portfolio. Conflicting goals representing the uncertain return on and risk of a fuzzy portfolio a…

Climate variability and agriculture in Italy: a stochastic frontier analysis at the regional level
2020
In the next future, climate change effects will represent a challenge for Europe and the Mediterranean area. These will have to cope with a rapid increase in climate variability. Although many economic sectors may be affected, agriculture is the most susceptible as climate heavily affects crop production trends, yield variability and the availability of areas suitable for cultivation. Using the stochastic frontier approach, the aim of this work is to analyse the impacts of climate variability on Italian regional technical efficiency in the agricultural sector for a period spanning from 2000 to 2009. Considering that technical inefficiency could be influenced by two main annual meteorologica…
The current problems of the investigation into the Hellenistic-Roman district of Agrigento are briefly illustrated, focusing attention on block II.
Dalīto sistēmu izstrāde izmantojot Akka ietvaru
2015

2006
We describe the first remains of Canidae from the Lower Pleistocene karstic locality of Quibas (Abanillas, Murcia) that increasing the representation of carnivores in this site. These fossils are identified as Vulpes praeglacialis, the typical Lower Pleistocene fox. This assignment is based on their small size and the poorly developed posterior cuspid of the p/3.
The hydrothermal system of the Domuyo volcanic complex (Argentina): A conceptual model based on new geochemical and isotopic evidences
2016
The Domuyo volcanic complex (Neuquén Province, Argentina) hosts one of the most promising geothermal systems of Patagonia, giving rise to thermal manifestations discharging hot and Cl−-rich fluids. This study reports a complete geochemical dataset of gas and water samples collected in three years (2013, 2014 and 2015) from the main fluid discharges of this area. The chemical and isotopic composition (δD-H2O and δ18O-H2O) of waters indicates that rainwater and snow melting are the primary recharge of a hydrothermal reservoir located at relative shallow depth (400–600 m) possibly connected to a second deeper (2–3 km) reservoir. Reactive magmatic gases are completely scrubbed by the hydrotherm…
