Improved limit on the directly measured antiproton lifetime

Continuous monitoring of a cloud of antiprotons stored in a Penning trap for 405 days enables us to set an improved limit on the directly measured antiproton lifetime. From our measurements we extract a storage time of $3.15\times {10}^{8}$ equivalent antiproton-seconds, resulting in a lower lifetime limit of ${\tau }_{\bar{{\rm{p}}}}\gt 10.2\,{\rm{a}}$ with a confidence level of $68 \% $. This result improves the limit on charge-parity-time violation in antiproton decays based on direct observation by a factor of 7.

Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid/bis(2-ethylhexyl)amine mixtures as solvent media for lithium-ions: A dynamical study

Abstract The self-diffusion coefficient, the spin-lattice relaxation times and ionic conductivity of lithium ions in liquid mixtures composed of bis(2-ethylhexyl)amine (BEEA) and bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (HDEHP) have been thoroughly investigated as a function of composition and temperature by NMR spectroscopy and conductometry. While the temperature and composition dependence of diffusion coefficients of lithium ions follow the same trend observed for those of the surfactant molecules, the spin-lattice relaxation times of lithium ions and 1 H are remarkably different. Year 2019 marks the first anniversary of the renewal of the Most Holy Trinity Parish in Jaworzno near the town of Wieluń. This event was celebrated both by inhabitants and clergy on 15–16 June 2019. On that occasion, on Saturday on the 15th of June, a historical conference entitled “The Jubilee of the 100 years of the Most Holy Trinity Parish in Jaworzno near the town of Wieluń” was held. The conference led to produce the historical monograph of the Parish. Six people in eleven papers and memoirs dealt with the historical issues of the Parish in Jaworzno. The Chi distribution is a continuous probability distribution of a random variable obtained from the positive square root of the sum of k squared variables, each coming from a standard Normal distribution (mean = 0 and variance = 1). The variable k indicates the degrees of freedom. The usual expression for the Chi distribution can be generalised to include a parameter which is the variance (which can take any value) of the generating Gaussians. For instance, for k = 3, we have the case of the Maxwell-Boltzmann (MB) distribution of the particle velocities in the Ideal Gas model of Physics. La Directiva 2011/99/UE, del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo, sobre la Orden Europea de Protección, surge con la idea de que un derecho de la ciudadanía como es la libre circulación no suponga a la víctima de violencia la pérdida de una protección que ya le fue dispensada en el Estado emisor cuando decida trasladarse al Estado receptor. Con la correcta aplicación de este instrumento reduciríamos costes procesales derivados de la no necesidad de iniciar un nuevo procedimiento para conseguir la protección de la que ya se gozaba en el Estado de emisión.
Photophysical Properties of Charged Cyclometalated Ir(III) Complexes: A Joint Theoretical and Experimental Study

The photophysical properties of a series of charged biscyclometalated [Ir(ppy)(2)(N boolean AND N)](1+) complexes, where ppyH is 2-phenylpyridine and N boolean AND N is 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy), 6-phenyl-2,2'-bipyridine (pbpy), and 6,6'-dipheny1-2,2'-bipyridine (dpbpy) for complexes 1, 2, and 3, respectively, have been investigated in detail. The photoluminescence performance in solution decreases from 1 to 3 upon attachment of phenyl groups to the ancillary ligand. The absorption spectra recorded over time suggest that complex 3 is less stable compared to complexes 1 and 2 likely due to a nucleophilic-assisted ancillary ligand-exchange reaction.
