Veleno: una parola che ricorre con insistenza nelle tragedie di Shakespeare. Quali motivazioni hanno spinto il drammaturgo inglese a inserire in tutte le sue opere almeno una volta il “veleno”? Il saggio indaga le ricorrenze del termine, ma si sofferma anche su un altro aspetto assai rilevante: tutti i personaggi che muoiono per soffocamento sono innocenti, mentre tutti quelli che sono uccisi (o si suicidano) col veleno sono colpevoli. Non può trattarsi di una coincidenza, bensì di una preordinata impostazione dell’impianto drammatico. Il volume così dimostra che in Shakespeare esiste un preciso ordine tripartito che regola le colpe di tutti i personaggi delle tragedie.

Power Bus Management Techniques for Space Missions in Low Earth Orbit

In space vehicles, the typical configurations for the Solar Array Power Regulators in charge of managing power transfer from the solar array to the power bus are quite different from the corresponding devices in use for terrestrial applications. A thorough analysis is reported for the most popular approaches, namely Sequential Switching Shunt Regulation and parallel-input Pulse Width Modulated converters with Maximum Power Point Tracking. A Model of DC-DC Converter with Switched-Capacitor Structure for Electric Vehicle Applications

In this paper, a DC-DC converter with an innovative topology for automotive applications is proposed. The goal of the presented power converter is the electrical storage system management of an electric vehicle (EV). The presented converter is specifically compliant with a 400 V battery, which represents the high-voltage primary source of the system. Master-Slave Control of Battery/Supercapacitor Based Hybrid Energy Storage System for E-Vehicle Application

In this paper, management and control problem of hybrid energy storage system (HESS) has been solved by master-slave control strategy. Heuristic fuzzy rules based algorithm is developed for optimal power sharing between different power sources. The master control is followed by a slave level controller, designed by using terminal synergetic control method for tracking. Moreover, the stability analysis of closed-loop system has been carried out by using lyapunov theory. Finally, the proposed method has been tested in MATLAB/Simulink environment under Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).

Speed control of double-sided linear induction motors for automated manufacturing systems

The double-sided linear induction motor (DLIM) is acquiring a significant relevance in the application of automated manufacturing systems. For this purpose, the modeling, simulation and determination of the parameters of a double-sided linear induction motor is presented in this paper. Furthermore, the DLIM constant voltage/frequency speed control system for this application is here described. In order to verify the performance of the proposed system, a suitable test bench for the DLIM motor is set-up. A linear generator for a waveroller power device

In this paper experimental tests on a small scale tubular linear generator to be applied to wave rollers device are presented. A reduced scale of gnerator is presented and experimental results obtained in on test bench are shown. Experimental waveforms of current and voltage are recorded. Simulation results are compared to the experimental ones in order to validate the mathematical models used.
