Hematopoietic progenitor kinase 1 (HPK1) is implicated in signaling downstream of the T cell receptor. Its non-catalytic, C-terminal half contains several prolinerich motifs, which have been shown to interact with different SH3 domain-containing adaptor proteins in vitro. One of these, Mona/Gads, was also shown to bind HPK1 in mouse T cells in vivo. The region of HPK1 that binds to the Mona/Gads C-terminal SH3 domain has been mapped and shows only very limited similarity to a recently identified high affinity binding motif in SLP-76, another T-cell adaptor. Cu(2+) and Zn(2+) coordination chemistry of a new member of the family of scorpiand-like macrocyclic ligands derived from tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (tren) is reported. The new ligand (L1) contains in its pendant arm not only the amine group derived from tren but also a 6-indazole ring. Potentiometric studies allow the determination of four protonation constants. UV-vis and fluorescence data support that the last protonation step occurs on the indazole group. The reaction of diethyl phosphite with triethyl orthoformate and a primary amine followed by hydrolysis is presented, and the reaction was suitable for the preparation of (aminomethylene)bisphosphonates. 3-Amino-1,2,4-triazole was chosen as an interesting substrate for this reaction because it possesses multiple groups that can serve as the amino component in the reaction-namely, the side-chain and triazole amines. Abstract A detailed reevaluation of the complexation equilibria of plutonium(IV) with the polyaminocarboxylic sequestering agent EDTA4− has been performed in 1 M (H,K)NO3 media at 298 K by means of visible absorption spectrophotometry and glass-electrode potentiometry at millimolar concentration levels. The high binding affinity even under strongly acidic conditions supports the exclusive formation of the neutral Pu(EDTA) complex over the range 0.01 ≤ [H+] ≤ 0.9 M with an apparent formation constant of log β110 = 25.8(1) at 0.9 M HNO3. A Trinuclear Copper(II) Cryptate and Its μ3-CO3 Cascade Complex: Thermodynamics, Structural and Magnetic Properties

The 2,4,6-triethylbenzene-capped hexaamine macrobicycle with pyridyl spacers (pyr) was able to coordinate three copper(II) ions within its cavity. Potentiometric studies performed at 298.2 K in MeOH/H(2)O (50:50 v/v) and at ionic strength 0.10 mol dm(-3) in KNO(3) revealed that trinuclear species predominate in solution from pH 5.0, the hydroxo complexes being the main species, which start forming at unusual very low pH values. Ion-ion correlation and charge reversal at titrating solid interfaces

Confronting grand canonical titration Monte Carlo simulations (MC) with recently published titration and charge reversal (CR) experiments on silica surfaces by Dove et al. and van der Heyden it et al, we show that ion-ion correlations quantitatively explain why divalent counterions strongly promote surface charge which, in turn, eventually causes a charge reversal (CR). Titration and CR results from simulations and experiments are in excellent agreement without any fitting parameters. This is the first unambiguous evidence that ion-ion correlations are instrumental in the creation of highly charged surfaces and responsible for their CR. The La0.88Sr0.2Mn(1−y)Fey0(3±δ, i (LSMF with y = 0, 0.2, 0.5, 0.8, 1) compounds are prospective cathode materials for advanced solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) application operating at 700° C. Usual analysis methods like thermogravimetric analysis or redox titration enable to determine the average oxidation state of both manganese and iron cations. The comparative role of iron and manganese in B-site was evaluated by 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy. Spectra revealed that the complete substitution of iron for manganese induces the formation of Fe5+ for the compound with y = 1.
