Tarkastelemme artikkelissa tapaustutkimuksena pientä maaseutupaikkakuntaa, Kyyjärveä, jonne saapui vuonna 2015 ensimmäistä kertaa turvapaikanhakijoita ja joka nousi uutismediaan myönteisenä poikkeuksena - vieraanvaraisena paikkakuntana yleisen maahanmuuttovastaisen ilmapiirin ja turvapaikkapolitiikan kiristyessä. Analysoimme haastattelu- ja media-aineistoja hyödyntäen vieraanvaraisuutta sosiaalisina suhteina, vieraiden ja vierauden kohtaamista paikallistasolla sekä näiden mediakehystystä. Abstract This article examines the role of the media in the EU freedom of movement debate through the lens of high-circulation German and UK newspapers during the first half of 2014. It explores how the media problematised migration from Eastern European member states and its influence on national host country labour markets and welfare systems. It also analyses how different media outlets positioned themselves in relation to relevant policies or policy proposals. Fish lice (Argulus spp.) are obligate ectoparasites, which contrary to most aquatic parasites, retain the ability to swim freely throughout the whole of their life. In fish farms, they can quickly increase in numbers and without effective control cause argulosis, which results in the reduced growth and survival of their fish hosts. The morphology of Argulus spp, including their sensory organs, is suitable for both parasitism and free-swimming. Brūklenes ir bieži sastopamas visā Latvijas teritorijā. Tāpēc svarīgi izpētīt veģetācijas, audzes vecuma un biezības ietekmējošo faktoru saistību ar salīdzinoši ekoloģiski plastisko brūkleni. Lai noskaidrotu kā dažāda vecuma sila audzēs mainās brūkleņu sastopamība, segums un vecums, 2018. gada augustā un septembrī divās teritorijās Latvijā – Ropažu un Upmales līdzenumā, ierīkoti astoņi objekti 24 audzēs. Pētījuma praktiskā daļa izstrādāta tādā meža tipā kā sils. Analizētas dažādas vecuma audzes. Stable isotope mixing models in aquatic ecology require δ13C values for food web end members such as phytoplankton and bacteria, however it is rarely possible to measure these directly. Hence there is a critical need for improved methods for estimating the δ13C ratios of phytoplankton, bacteria and terrestrial detritus from within mixed seston. Based on consumers' preferences, AI (artificial intelligence) recommendation automatically filters information, which provokes scholars' debate. Supporters believe that by analyzing the consumers' preferences, AI recommendation enables consumers to choose products more quickly and with lower cost. Critics deem that consumers are more easily trapped in information cocoons because of the use of AI recommendation. This reduces the possibility of consumers contacting with a variety of commodities, thus lowering the consumer decision quality. Lisäksi verkossa esiintyvien tuotearvostelujen vaikutusta ostopää- tökseen on tutkittu nykyään paljon. Asiakkaan ostopolkua on hyvä tutkia, jotta tiedetään, miksi kuluttajat käyttävät tiettyjä kanavia ostoprosesseissaan. Lisäksi tuotearvostelujen tutkiminen auttaa selvittämään, mikä kuluttajien ostopäätökseen verkossa vaikuttaa.
