A 27-year-old woman came to the emergency department in April, 1999, after swallowing a toothbrush while cleaning her teeth 1 hour previously. She attributed the accident to clumsiness which made her slip on the wet bathroom floor, thereby forcing the toothbrush deep into her throat She reported no other illnesses. She had no pain, dysphagia, or dyspnoea. On examination she had a normal weight (body mass index of 22 kg/m). Her oropharnyx had no signs of injury and the rest of the physical examination was normal. We report the case of a 24 year old woman who developed myasthenia gravis in the course of a mild form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy. In vitro evaluation of the ability of three apex locators to determine the working length during retreatment.

The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the accuracy of three apex locators in determining the working length during the retreatment process. Twenty extracted single-rooted human teeth with mature apices were used in this study. The root canal length of each tooth was measured placing a #15 file until the tip was visible at the apical foramen. The direct visual measurement was reduced by 0.5 mm and recorded. The root canals were instrumented and filled to the direct visual measurement using lateral compaction technique. Diffusion Acceleration in Randomly Switching Sawtooth Potential

We investigate an overdamped Brownian motion in symmetric sawtooth periodic potential switched by Markovian dichotomous noise between two configurations. The two configurations differ each other by a translation of half of period. The calculation of the effective diffusion coefficient is reduced to the mean first‐passage time problem, and we obtain the exact expression valid for arbitrary mean rate of switchings and arbitrary intensity of white Gaussian noise. We find the area at parameters plane where acceleration of diffusion in comparison with the free diffusion case takes place.
