Se hace un estudio de los matorrales seriales de las sierras del Boquerón y Palomera (Valencia-Albacete). Se discute su posición sintaxonómica y se proponen cuatro nuevas asociaciones (Salvio lavandulifoliae-Erinacetum anthyllidis, Salvio lavandulifoliae-Genistetum mugronensis, Thymo piperellae-Hypericetum ericoidis y Gypsophilo struthii-Ononidetum edentulae) y diez nuevas subasociaciones. La fase del Ibérico final en el asentamiento del Torrelló del Boverot (Almazora, Castellón): dos piezas cerámicas singulares

Since the end of 1988, when excavation was resumed at the Torrelló del Boverot site in Almazora (Castellón), large amounts of material —mostly ceramics— have been recovered, dating from the end of the Iberian period, which, chronologically, marked the end of the village's life. This paper discusses two unusual ceramic pieces from this late period, documented during the excavations that took place in 1995, undertaken in the central area of the site. The records obtained in this work matches that of a batch of materials donated to the Museum of Almazora by the amateurs who excavated this village in the mid-1970s.

Las torres de tos portales de Cuarte y de Serranos en la muralla cristiana de la ciudad de Valencia pudieron salvarse en la segunda mitad del Ochocientos a causa de albergar prisiones, mientras el resto del muro urbano estaba siendo inmolado. El presente artículo se ocupa de las primeras: sus comienzos constructivos y su historia penitenciaria desde el siglo XVII, así como su posterior destino guareciendo prisiones militares entre la década de 1820 y 1946. Además las torres de Cuarte fueron mudos testigos de ciertas reformas urbanas y otros acontecimientos. (A)

A component-based approximation for trend detection of intense rainfall in the Spanish Mediterranean coast

Rainfall behavior is a fundamental issue in areas with scarce and irregular amounts, such as the Spanish Mediterranean region. We identified 12 spatial patterns that characterized 899 torrential precipitation events (≥150 mm in 24 h) that occurred in the 3,537 rainy precipitation series in the period 1950–2020. Three of these components––eastern and ESE––showed positive and significant trends in their accumulated volumes. We then characterized the mean synoptic causes of the 10 most intense events in each component at both mean sea-level pressure and 500 hPa geopotential height, and also the integrated water-vapor transport between 1,000 and 300 hPa. Pancreatic function after severe acute biliary pancreatitis: the role of necrosectomy.

OBJECTIVES To investigate the recovery of pancreatic function after severe acute biliary pancreatitis (ABP), especially the influence of necrosectomy on endocrine and exocrine functions. METHODS Prospective cohort study including 39 patients with severe ABP. According to need or no need for surgical necrosectomy, patients were further subdivided into 2 groups. Functional pancreatic evaluation was carried out 12 months after the ABP episode. Endocrine function was evaluated by an oral glucose tolerance test and exocrine function by fecal fat excretion, fecal chymotrypsin (FQ), and secretin-cerulein tests (SCT).
