Shaping of a ground state rotational wavepacket by frequency-chirped pulses

0953-4075; A coherent rotational superposition state is produced in the ground vibronic level of N2 through the interaction of the molecule with the electric field vector of a nonresonant laser pulse. This rotational wavepacket is shaped with a linear frequency chirp of the laser field. The structural shape of the rotational coherences shows a strong dependence with the frequency-chirp amplitude. A comparison with a theoretical model allows the interpretation of the observed effects in terms of dephasing of the wavepacket induced by the laser phase distortion. Application of the presented results to the phase characterization of short XUV pulses is suggested.

The essay deals with the issue of causation in private law, referring to the broad debate that commits the scholars of criminal law. The basic idea is that in the area of private law, both in the law in action and in the reflections of the doctrine, the causal judgment must be conducted more rigorously. The study proposes to apply in a more inflexible way the model of judgment already experimented in criminal law, corrected with the necessary adaptations to the characteristics of liability in private law and of the civil trial. Diffusion in slice preparations bathed in unstirred solutions

A diffusion model is described here, which allows for the estimations of drug concentration changes in porous media, such as in slice tissues of the central nervous system (CNS) bathed in unstirred solutions following abrupt changes of drug concentration. A Simulation Model of a Tandem Coordinated Supply Chain

This paper presents a study of a coordinated production inventory-system. In the proposed model, any echelon considers its successors as part of its inventory system and generates the replenishment order on the basis of operational information of its partners. We show that the coordinated decision making allows elimination of information distortion along the chain. Furthermore, we show how the bottom-up transmission of inefficiencies, typical of traditional supply chains, is avoided.
