This work focused on the extraction, quantification, and characterization of bioactive compounds of Arbutus unedo L. fruits, comparing the results obtained from the different ripening states. Extractions were performed by different methods (such as maceration extraction and ultrasonic extraction) and food grade solvents (aqueous and hydroalcoholic solvents) in each of the all ripening states (four states considered, associated with four different colors, i.e., green, yellow, orange, and red). Despite the promising results of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted radioligand therapy (RLT) in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), some patients show worsening disease during PSMA-RLT. We investigated the value of combined [18F]FDG and [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 PET imaging in this setting. Tämän selvityksen lähtökohtana oli arvioida niitä ohjauskeinoja, joilla vauhditetaan runsaiden vesivarojen Suomen kehittymistä edelläkävijäksi vesiviisaassa bio- ja kiertotaloudessa. Tämän loppuraportin ensimmäisessä osiossa tarkastelemme vedenkäytön nykytilaa Suomessa ja vertaamme sitä Tanskan ja Alankomaiden vastaaviin lukuihin. Vesitehokkuus oli noin kahdella kolmasosalla vertailun runsaasta 60 toimialasta Suomessa Tanskaa heikompi. En este estudio se analizan los parámetros mecánicos fuerza de impacto (FI), tiempo de reacción (TR), tiempo de movimiento (TM), tiempo total de respuesta (TT) y dominancia, en la patada circular o Bandal Chagui en Taekwondo, basado en la regulación de la distancia de golpeo (ED1, ED2 y ED3). Para ello, se ha utilizado un sistema de nueva creación formado por una plataforma de contacto, una plataforma de fuerzas, un led de luces y un maniqui. Eucalyptus stands in semi-arid areas may contribute to enhance carbon (C) stocks in both biomass and soil. However, the limited information available is mainly focused on short-rotation plantations. In this study, the above- and below-ground C pools in five 50-year-old Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. stands planted on Miocenic evaporitic deposits in Sicily, Italy, with a xeric and thermic pedoclimate, were measured. Combined effect of low-molecular-weight organic acids and creosote on phosphatase activities in sandy soil

This paper assesses the impact of creosote and low-molecular-weight organic acids (LMWOAs) on the activity of acid phosphomonoesterase, alkaline phosphomonoesterase, phosphotriesterase, and inorganic pyrophosphatase in soil. The experiment was carried out on loamy sand samples with organic carbon content of 8.71 g · kg -1 , with the following variable factors: dosages of creosote: 0, 0.5%, and 2.5%; type of LMWOAs: oxalic acid, tartaric acid, and citric acid in the amount of 50 mmol · kg -1 of soil; days of experiment: 1, 7, 14, 28, 56, 112. Ecosocial Innovations in Europe : How Social and Solidarity Economy Actors Can Promote the Sustainable Development Goals

This paper focuses on small-scale social and solidarity economy (SSE) actors for a transformation towards sustainable societies. These actors’ ecosocial innovations (ESIs) - for example, food cooperatives, reuse centres, and alternative mobility projects - successfully combine all dimensions of sustainability in new ecosocial practices. By inventing and establishing these practices on the local level, the ESIs promote Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 on employment and decent work, and also strengthen the implementation of other goals. The empirical part of this paper is based on a Finnish social work research project that examines multiple ESIs in four different European countries. The …
