Since the 1990s, the French wine exporters have been confronted with an increasing competition from a few nations of North America and the Southern Hemisphere. Bakalaura darbs „Valūta un valūtas kursa svārstību ierobežošana ilgtermiņa līgumos” sniedz ieskatu jautājumos par maksājuma izdarīšanas valūtu un valūtas kursa svārstību ierobežošanu līgumā. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kādā valūtā maksājums izdarāms, ja puses līgumā par to tieši nav vienojušās, kā arī noskaidrot efektīvākos valūtas kursa svārstību ierobežošanas veidus. Pētījuma rezultātā autore konstatē kritērijus, atbilstoši kuriem tiek noteikta maksājuma izdarīšanas valūta un identificē efektīvākos mehānismus valūtas kursa svārstību ierobežošanai līguma ietveros. MFPs, as the smallest set of patterns, help to reveal customers’ purchase rules and market basket analysis (MBA). This study examines under-18 marriage in urban Tanzania from an ethnographic perspective. Due to poverty and high unemployment, some girls aspire to early marriage. Two pathways to early marriage are identified: first, poverty and gendered economic disparities motivate girls to begin transactional sexual activity at an early age, leading parents to favour early marriage as a risk-reduction measure. Second, educational opportunities are often closed off to girls before marriage, as a result of which early marriage becomes the only culturally approved pathway that allows girls to present themselves to others as a self-sufficient agent. Multimodal intervention in children with attention‐deficit hyperactivity disorder

ABSTRACT Children (N = 3) with attention‐deficit hyperactivity disorders were trained by using a multimodal programme, which comprised three types of intervention: children's individual and group‐based cognitive training, parent training and classroom intervention. The study was done using the experimental single‐case design. Baseline and progress were evaluated by classroom observations, questionnaires and rating scales. Partial results of an investigation are presented whose primary objective is to adapt and to standardize the neurocognitive assessment battery C.A.S. of Das and Naglieri (1997) in a child sample. The test is an operationalization of a non traditional intelligence model (PASS) that considers the intelligent behaviors as a group of four cognitive basic processes (planning, attention, simultaneous and successive processing). Our society is becoming increasingly dependent on the rapid access and processing of information. The number of handheld mobile devices with access to the Internet and network-based software and services is exploding. Research indicates [1] that by the end of 2002 there will be over 1 billion mobile phone owners globally with Internet access, and that this number is going to grow exponentially in the nearest future. By 2006 the number of interconnected mobile device users is expected exceed the worldwide Internet subscriber population. It is estimated that in a few years there will be three times as many of these devices worldwide as personal computers.
Incorporating teacher-student dialogue into digital course material : Usage patterns and first experiences

This work-in-progress research investigates teacher-student communication via Learning Management Systems (LMS) in highly populated courses. An LMS called TIM (The Interactive Material) includes a specific commenting technology that attempts to make teacher-student dialog effortless. The research goal is to explore students’ willingness to use the technology and identify patterns of usage. To these ends, a survey with both Likert and open-ended questions was issued to CS1 and CS2 students.
