A DC behavioral electrical model for quasi-linear spin-valve devices including thermal effects for circuit simulation

An advanced model for quasi-linear spin-valve (SV) structures is presented for circuit simulation purposes. The model takes into account electrical and thermal effects in a coupled way in order to allow a coherent representation of the sensor physics for design purposes of electronics applications based on these sensor devices. The model was implemented in Verilog-A and used in a commercial circuit simulator. For testing the model, different SV structures have been specifically fabricated and measured. Abstract In this paper the dynamic behaviour of a wind turbine connected to the grid is examined. The model of the fixed speed wind turbine has been developed with the Simulink simulation tool (Matlab Inc.) It is composed of the induction generator, the shaft system, an aerodynamic model of the wind turbine rotor and the pitch control system. Using input shaping and pressure feedback to suppress oscillations in slewing motion of lightweight flexible hydraulic crane

This paper presents a method to actively reduce vibrations in the flexible mechanical structure of a hydraulically actuated vehicle loader crane. Based on information on the natural frequency and damping of a simplified model of the crane an input shaping scheme is set up to control the proportional valve leading to substantially reductions in oscillations. The method is compared and combined with a pressure feedback control of the proportional valve that actively suppresses transient variations in pressure. The dynamic behavior of piezoelectric active repair bonded on cracked structures is analyzed in this article. The boundary element code used to perform the simulations is implemented in the framework of piezoelectricity in order to model the coupling between the elastic and the electric fields, which represents the most important feature of piezoelectric media. The SPES3 facility is being built at the SIET laboratories for an integral type SMR simulation, in the frame of an R&D program on nuclear fission, funded by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and led by ENEA. This paper investigates the detectability of mechanical unbalance in double cage induction motor load using motor vibration signature analysis technique. Rotor imbalances induce specific harmonic components in electrical, electromagnetical, and mechanical quantities.
