Abstract The Dutch-Belgian Hemato-Oncology Cooperative Group and the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (HOVON-SAKK) collaborative study group evaluated outcome of patients (pts) with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in first remission (CR1) entered in 3 consecutive studies according to a donor versus no-donor comparison. Patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia with del(17p) or del(11q) have poor long-term prognosis with targeted therapies. Conversely, this retrospective European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation registry study shows that young high cytogenetic risk responsive patients with human leukocyte antigen-matched donors have a high 8-year progression-free survival and low 2-year non-relapse mortality after allogeneic stem cell transplantation. We report the outcome of 45 patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia who underwent myeloablative single unit cord blood transplantation from unrelated donors within the GETH/GITMO cooperative group. There is a paucity of data evaluating acute kidney injury (AKI) incidence and its relationship with the tacrolimus-sirolimus (Tac-Sir) concentrations in the setting of reduced-intensity conditioning (RIC) after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). This multicenter retrospective study evaluated risk factors of AKI defined by 2 classification systems, Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcome (KDIGO) score and "Grade 0-3 staging," in 186 consecutive RIC allo-HSCT recipients with Tac-Sir as graft-versus-host disease prophylaxis. The Acute Leukemia Working Party (ALWP) of the EBMT assessed the outcome of allogeneic stem cell transplantation (alloSCT) in patients with relapsed/refractory AML (r/rAML) evaluating six sequential conditioning regimens (SR) groups. A total of 2132 patients were included. LFS at 2 years was 28.9%, 33.6%, 35.3%, 20.6%, 24.4%, and 27% for the FLAMSA-TBI4, FLAMSA-Chemo, Mel-Flu-TBI8, Mel-Treo-Flu, Thio-ETO-Cy-Bu2-Flu, and Clo-ARAC-(Bu2/TBI4)-Cy groups, respectively. Relapse of acute leukemia (AL) after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (Allo-HCT) entails a dismal prognosis. In this scenario, donor lymphocyte infusions (DLIs) and second Allo-HCT are two major approaches. We compared outcomes of AL patients treated for relapse with DLI or second Allo-HCT after receiving debulking therapy. In total, 46 patients were included in the study; 30 (65%) had acute myeloid leukemia and 16 (35%) had acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The median age was 38 years (range 4-66).
