Abstract. Ambient total OH reactivity was measured at the Finnish boreal forest station SMEAR II in Hyytiälä (Latitude 61°51' N; Longitude 24°17' E) in July and August 2010 using the Comparative Reactivity Method (CRM). The CRM – total OH reactivity method – is a direct, in-situ determination of the total loss rate of hydroxyl radicals (OH) caused by all reactive species in air. Road traffic emission factors (EFs) are one of the main sources of uncertainties in emission inventories; it is necessary to develop methods to reduce these uncertainties to manage air quality more efficiently. The 18S rDNA sequences of the six most common European Lymnaeidae species (Mollusca:Gastropoda:Basommatophora) have been obtained by direct PCR cycle sequencing and silver staining methods. The sequence alignment and secondary structures of the 18S rRNA gene of Lymnaea stagnalis, L. auricularia, L. peregra, L. palustris, L. glabra, and L. truncatula are analyzed. This gene proves to be a good marker for both specific determination and supraspecific lymnaeid phylogeny. In order to analyze some extremal cases of Hopcroft’s algorithm we deepened the relationship between combinatorial properties of circular words and the ex- ecution of the algorithm on cyclic automata associated to such words.In this paper we highlight the notion of word tree and in particular, we char- acterize the word trees for which Hopcroft’s algorithm on the associated tree-like automata has a unique refinement process.
