Xylene isomerization and aromatic alkylation in zeolites NU-87, SSZ-33, β, and ZSM-5: molecular dynamics and catalytic studies

The unique pore topology of zeolite NU-87, with 10-membered ring (MR) channels intersected by perpendicular 12-MR cavities, can offer new opportunities for alkylaromatics isomerization, as well as for aromatics alkylation. The catalytic performance has been studied for meta-xylene isomerization and disproportionation, as well as toluene alkylation with methanol, ethanol, propanol, and isopropanol. Product distribution was interpreted on the basis of pore topology and compared to zeolites with 12-MR (β), 10- and 12-MR (SSZ-33), and 10-MR (ZSM-5) zeolites. Specific Irreversible Cell-Cycle Arrest and Depletion of Cancer Cells Obtained by Combining Curcumin and the Flavonoids Quercetin and Fisetin.

Background: Induced senescence could be exploited to selectively counteract the proliferation of cancer cells and target them for senolysis. We examined the cellular senescence induced by curcumin and whether it could be targeted by fisetin and quercetin, flavonoids with senolytic activity. Methods: Cell-cycle profiles, chromosome number and structure, and heterochromatin markers were evaluated via flow cytometry, metaphase spreads, and immunofluorescence, respectively. The activation of p21waf1/cip1 was assessed via RT-qPCR and immunoblotting. Senescent cells were detected via SA-β-Galactosidase staining. Maģistra darbs “Latviešu skautu un gaidu kustība pārvietoto personu nometnēs Rietumvācijā 1945 - 1950” apskata un raksturo latviešu skautu un gaidu darbību pēc 2. pasaules kara Rietumvācijā, kad daudzi latvieši tika izvietoti pārvietoto personu (DP) nometnēs. Šajā laika periodā skautu un gaidu darbība bija plaši izplatīta, tā bija galvenā jaunatnes organizācijas kustība, kad tajā iesaistījās gandrīz 8000 skautu un gaidu. DP nometņu specifiskie apstākļi, personu ierobežojošie aspekti, latviešu sabiedrības noskaņojums un uzskati un pasaules skautu un gaidu organizāciju uzstādījumi deva gan iespējas, gan arī sagādāja grūtības kustības darbībā, tai nācās spēt pielāgoties jaunajai dzīvei trimdā.…

The decree by which the Cortes of 22 May 1809 were summoned by the Junta Suprema of the realm marked the beginning of a political debate of great intensity in Spain. Through this debate the different political positions and the various ideological profiles arising from the deep constitutional crisis of 1808 became gradually crystallised.
