Shining castles and humans of metal/floral appearance ? metaphorical language in the Palaiologan romances Kallimachos and Velthandros

About eight centuries after Heliodorus, the Greek novel resurfaced in the twelfth century, in Komnenian Byzantium, and again two centuries later under the Palaiologan dynasty. This latter literary revival was due to the political stability of the imperial Byzantine government, which promoted cultural production, rhetorical education, and patronage networks. Kallimachos and Velthandros, two Palaiologan romances presented as court literature, combine ancient and medieval tropes with rhetorical artistry to blur the boundaries between the artificial and the natural. Bakalaura darbā ir pētītas pārliecināšanas metodes un izmantoto tropu pārliecinošā ietekme emuāru rakstos par vadību. Autore analizēja deviņu emuāru rakstus par vadību, izmantojot aprakstošās statistikas metodi un diskursa analīzi, lai noskaidrotu, kā tiek izmantoti tropi un Aristoteļa definētās pārliecināšanas metodes. Secinājumi liecina, ka emuāru autori izmanto tropus, no kuriem visizplatītākie ir metaforas un erotēmas. Tēlaina valoda tiek izmantota kā komunikācijas rīks, kas ļauj rakstu autoriem izteikt sarežģītas tēmas vai sajūtas korporatīvā vidē un ka tēlainas valodas lietojums ir galvenā metode, kā sasniegt patosu izvēlētajos emuāru rakstos par vadību.
A 3D multispectral integrated acquisition system : acquisition, data coding and compression

We have developed an integrated system permitting the simultaneous acquisition of the 3D shape and the spectral spectral reflectance of scanned object surfaces. We call this system a 3D multispectral scanner because it combines within a stereopair, a multispectral video camera and a structured light projector. We see several application possibilities for a such acquisition system but we want to highlight applications in the field of digital archiving and broadcasting for heritage objects. Maynard James Keenan, wokalista i autor tekstów, zawsze przyznawał się do swojej fascynacji teoriami Carla Gustava Junga i Josepha Campbella, a tropy Jungowskie, poza piosenkami, można odnaleźć również w grafice okładek albumów, w promocyjnych teledyskach oraz w oprawie wizualnej koncertów zespołu.
