Es wird uber ACTH-Versuche an Meerschweinchen bei verschiedenem Funktionszustand des RES berichtet. Splenektomierte, splenektomiert und zusatzlich mit 6 cm3 sowie mit 18 cm3 Trypanblau blockierte Tiere zeigten jedesmal ein deutliches Absinken der Eosinophilen im peripheren Blut nach Injektion von 10 mg ACTH. Eine Aufhebung oder Abschwachung des eosinopenischen Effektes durch die Funktionseinschrankung des RES wurde nicht beobachtet.

Abstract: Phospholipase D (PLD) activity was determined in rat hippocampal slices between postnatal days 3 and 35. After birth, basal PLD activity was low and, within 2 weeks, increased to reach a plateau that was maintained up to the adult age. Likewise the response to glutamate developed postnatally to reach a maximum at day 8, but then faded rapidly and was almost absent at day 35. Activation of PLD by 4β-phorbol 12β,13α-dibutyrate (PDB) was independent of age, whereas the effect of aluminum fluoride (AlF4−) increased to a plateau within the first week. Plasma cortisol and renin were estimated in 1 h intervals, plasma aldosterone, angiotensinogen and angiotensinases in 3 h intervals over periods of 24 h in six normal volunteers (age 20-26) under control conditions and subsequently under suppression of ACTH release by dexamethasone. Highest cortisol levels were found around 7 a.m., minimum levels between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. Dexamethasone reduced cortisol to constantly low concentrations. Abstract Adrenocortical cells were obtained by fractionated trypsination of newborn rat adrenal glands and transfected with a plasmid containing the EJ T24 -Ha-ras oncogene. Isolation of adhesive cells led to a proliferative cell line with an overexpression of 21 kDa ras protein. These cells incubated with corticosterone or deoxycorticosterone as the precursor produced a high level of 18-hydroxycorticosterone and aldosterone as identified by gas chromatography- mass spectrometry. ACTH and angiotensin II increased the basal production of aldosterone nineteen-fold and six-fold respectively.
