An assessment was performed regarding the accuracy of various types of data deposited in the Barcode of Life Data system (BOLD) related to the true bug family Cydnidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera). Taxonomic nomenclature and classification, identification reliability, and the correctness of the data provided in the “Taxon description” were analyzed and commented on with respect to both available versions of the BOLD system, i.e. version 3 and beta version 4. Numerous mistakes in taxonomy, the relevance of the taxa names, and species misidentifications in BOLD version 3 were found and, more importantly, similar errors were detected in BOLD version 4 as well. In order to present the post-process era in composition as part of the general phenomenon known as the linguistic turn of the 20th century rather than as only the social turn in composition, in this chapter I point to some epistemological developments in composition studies, developments that underlie and define the process and post-process eras in composition as distinguishable rather than distinct periods in the history of the discipline. Two new genera, each represented by a single new species, Cassisotropis aciformis Taszakowski et al. gen. et sp. nov. and Infernotropis madagascariensis Taszakowski et al. gen. et sp. nov. are described from Madagascar. Photographs and SEM micrographs of the male and female habitus, genital structures and selected morphological structures are presented. The first record of Fulvius anthocoroides (Reuter, 1875) in Madagascar and the checklist of Madagascan cylapines are also provided.

The Romanian fauna comprises two species of Aquarius Schellenberg, 1800, eight species of Gerris Fabricius, 1794 and one species of Limnoporus Stål, 1868, and we hereby update the distribution and provide insights on the phenology and ecology of all eleven species in this country. We furthermore update the distribution of the two closely related species Gerris gibbifer Schummel, 1832 and G. maculatus Tamanini, 1946 in southeastern Europe. Gerris maculatus is recorded for the first time from Hungary, Montenegro and Slovenia, and the first detailed localities from Romania and Serbia are given. Abstract Abductor true vocal cord paralysis is a complex condition that requires the surgeon to perform an emergency tracheotomy to eliminate the symptom of dyspnea. Throughout the past 20 years, corrective surgery has reverted to techniques using external or endoscopic techniques. For 5 years now, we have used high frequency radiosurgery by Ellman to treat various ENT conditions in our clinic. The experience we have gained has encouraged us to use this method in endoscopic surgery as well, in the treatment of laryngeal abductor paralysis under suspension microlaryngoscopy.
