PENERAPAN METODE SINGLE MOVING AVERAGE DAN EXSPONENTIAL SMOOTHING PADA USAHA ASRIE MODESTA
2020
This study aims to (1) analyze the number of demands for batik products in the second period of 2018. (2) To analyze the most appropriate forecasting method. (3) To analyze the forecasting of the first period in 2019 using the selected forecasting method.
This reseach uses primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis used is Single Moving Averages and Exsponential Smoothing.
The results of research in forecasting demand for batik products in 2019 with the Single Moving Average method are 3,936 units with Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) of 632.5 units and Mean Square Error (MSE) of 693,718 units. An…
Alginate-based coatings charged with hydroxyapatite and quercetin for fresh-cut papaya shelf life
2022
In this study, the effect of alginate-based coatings charged with quercetin glycoside compounds and hydroxyapatite/quercetin glycoside compounds (HA/QUE) on the microbiological quality, and on bioactive compounds of fresh-cut papaya, was evaluated for 14 days at 6 degrees C. Alginate coatings with hydroxyapatite/quercetin showed a high capability to slow down the growth of all microbiological parameters investigated. At the end of cold storage, the total bacteria count in papaya samples covered with HA/QUE alginate coating was 4.8 log CFU g(-1) which is significantly lower (P < 0.05) than 8.3 log CFU g(-1) for uncoated samples. Total carotenoids' percentage decrease, at the end of storag…
Model Predictive Control for Shunt Active Filters With Fixed Switching Frequency
2016
This paper presents a modification to the classical Model Predictive Control algorithm, named Modulated Model Predictive Control, and its application to active power filters. The proposed control is able to retain all the advantages of a Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control whilst improving the generated waveforms harmonic spectrum. In fact a modulation algorithm, based on the cost function ratio for different output vectors, is inherently included in the MPC. The cost function-based modulator is introduced and its effectiveness on reducing the current ripple is demonstrated. The presented solution provides an effective and straightforward single loop controller, maintaining an excel…
Thermodynamic properties of a liquid–vapor interface in a two-component system
2010
Abstract We report a complete set of thermodynamic properties of the interface layer between liquid and vapor two-component mixtures, using molecular dynamics. The mixtures consist of particles which have identical masses and diameters and interact with a long-range Lennard-Jones spline potential. The potential depths in dimensionless units for like interactions is 1 (for component 1) and 0.8 (for component 2). The surface excess entropy decreases when the temperature increases, so the surface has a negative excess heat capacity. This is a consequence of the fact that the surface tension decreases to zero at the critical point, proportional to ( T C , i − T ) 2 ν . The surface entropy decre…
Novel solutions for closed-loop Reverse Electrodialysis: thermodynamic characterisation and perspective analysis
2019
Abstract Closed-loop Reverse Electrodialysis is a novel technology to directly convert low-grade heat into electricity. It consists of a reverse electrodialysis (RED) unit where electricity is produced exploiting the salinity gradient between two salt-water solutions, coupled with a regeneration unit where waste-heat is used to treat the solutions exiting from the RED unit and restore their initial composition. One of the most important advantages of closed-loop systems compared to the open systems is the possibility to select ad-hoc salt solutions to achieve high efficiencies. Therefore, the properties of the salt solutions are essential to assess the performance of the energy generation a…

The Impact of CBT and ACT Models Using Psychology Trainee Therapists
2007
The present study compares the impact of individualized treatment provided by trainee therapists based on a traditional cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) model. Fourteen therapists were given initial training in CBT and ACT. Outpatients ( N = 28) were randomized to either approach, with each therapist treating one client within each model, linked to a functional analysis. Clients treated within an ACT model showed better symptom improvement than the CBT clients, despite the fact that students felt initially less knowledgeable about ACT and were more fearful throughout when it was used. CBT improved client self-confidence more rapidly than ACT, and…
Changes in negative implicit evaluations in patients of hypochondriasis after treatment with cognitive therapy or exposure therapy
2015
Abstract Background and Objectives Previous studies using modified versions of the Affect Misattribution Procedure (AMP; Payne, Cheng, Govorun, & Stewart, 2005) have revealed that there is an implicit negative evaluation bias of illness-related information in patients with hypochondriasis (HYP), which might be a maintaining feature of HYP. However, there is no evidence on whether this bias might be targeted successfully by effective treatments, such as exposure therapy (ET) or cognitive therapy (CT). This is the first study to examine the change in negative implicit evaluations in a randomized controlled trial, including individual CT and ET, compared to a wait-list control group for HYP. M…
Optical noninvasive monitoring of skin blood pulsations
2005
Time-resolved detection and analysis of skin backscattered optical signals (remission photoplethysmography or PPG) provide rich information on skin blood volume pulsations and can serve for reliable cardiovascular assessment. Single- and multiple-channel PPG concepts are discussed. Simultaneous data flow from several locations on the human body allows us to study heartbeat pulse-wave propagation in real time and to evaluate vascular resistance. Portable single-, dual-, and four-channel PPG monitoring devices with special software have been designed for real-time data acquisition and processing. The prototype devices have been clinically studied, and their potential for monitoring heart arrh…
