The self-fiction and history in Serge Doubrovsky' s, Georges Perec' s and Jorge Semprun' s works

2014

This thesis addresses the relationship between writing about oneself, writing about History and how three contemporary authors – Serge Doubrovsky, Georges Perec and Jorge Semprun – fictionalized themselves. The first two sections’ aim is to establish biographical, historical and literary guidelines, indispensable to the better comprehension of an individual, an era and a literary landscape. On the basis of information collected like so, the third and fourth sections analyse the characteristics of writing about oneself when dealing with History. This discussion is articulated around two axis: that of childhood and that of quest for identity. From underlining theme, History progressively beco…

Espaces du quotidien et dynamiques de l’altérité pendant le confinement

2022

This study is the first result of the research entitled "Mon Espace Vécu" (My Lived Space) conducted in Italy during the first lockdown of 2020 (March-June), which was imposed by the government to contain the Covid-19 pandemic. During that period, the authors collected hundreds of textual testimonies from volunteers experiencing everyday spaces during the pandemic. The reflection, conducted from the perspective of cultural geography and cultural anthropology, develops from the analysis of some of these testimonies. Specifically, this paper focuses on the forms of semantization of space and the relationship between the body, space, and dynamic identity/otherness.

Le sens de l’écart : la narration déconstruite dans les vidéos de Willie Doherty

2011

International audience; In his video works, all tightly focused on the Northern-Irish conflict, Willie Doherty probes the perpetrator-victim dyad and denounces the truncated visual representation of the conflict by deconstructing the relation between image and sound. The texts uttered by the voice-over raise political issues relevant to post-conflict Ireland, whether it be victimhood, national trauma or the construction of collective memory. Multiple open-ended interwoven narratives accompany images without closing their interpretation.; Dans les œuvres vidéographiques de l’artiste nord-irlandais Willie Doherty, les éléments narratifs entretiennent une relation complexe avec les images film…
