El objetivo del presente trabajo está encaminado al estudio de las variaciones de oligoelementos en la concha de un gasterópodo de agua dulce del género Melanopsis (U dufouri (FERUSSAC), con dos morfotipos) y si éstas tienen que ver, o no, con la fluctuación de una serie de parámetros ambientales. La importancia del trabajo radica en la posibilidad de la aplicación paleoecológica de sus resultados, ya que el género MelanopsÍs tiene un abundante registro fósil durante todo el Cenozoico. Quasi *-algebras arising from extensions of positive linear functionals

In this paper we show how some known quasi *-algebras can also be obtained through the construction of slight extensions of nonclosable positive linear functionals defined on dense *-subalgebras Ao of given topological *-algebras. Moreover, we consider also, for each of the functionals we present, their absolutely convergent extensions and the GNS *-representations of the quasi *-algebras arising in the process of extension.

This article is an attempt at a theolinguistic description of such concepts as manipulation, persuasia, and religious language. The author focuses primarily on the theoretical aspect of the stated problem. In the first part of the work, such concepts as manipulation, persuasia and speech influence are analyzed. Their hierarchy is being organized and it is concluded that persuasia and manipulation, when considered in “pure form” is the polar form of speech influence, different in means of achieving the goal: if persuasia is an open speech influence, suggesting a deliberate choice by the recipient, speech influence with the sign “+”, then the manipulation is speech influence, often using hidd…
Pseudospectrum of Reissner-Nordström black holes: Quasinormal mode instability and universality

Black hole spectroscopy is a powerful tool to probe the Kerr nature of astrophysical compact objects and their environment. The observation of multiple ringdown modes in gravitational waveforms could soon lead to high-precision gravitational spectroscopy, so it is critical to understand if the quasinormal mode spectrum is stable against perturbations. It was recently shown that the pseudospectrum can shed light on the spectral stability of black hole quasinormal modes. International audience; Le travail présenté s'intéresse à la caractérisation des propriétés mécaniques quasi-statiques et en fatigue d'un composite stratifié en lin/époxy. Les éprouvettes fabriquées par thermocompression ont des séquences d'empilement de 0/90° et ±45° pour les essais de traction uniaxiale et cisaillement plan respectivement. Les essais quasi-statiques révèlent une variabilité des propriétés mécaniques de l'ordre de 10%. Les essais de fatigue en traction et en cisaillement plan ont été réalisés pour des niveaux de contraintes compris entre 40 et 80% des valeurs ultimes du composite (US). Location of solutions for quasi-linear elliptic equations with general gradient dependence

Existence and location of solutions to a Dirichlet problem driven by $(p,q)$-Laplacian and containing a (convection) term fully depending on the solution and its gradient are established through the method of subsolution-supersolution. Here we substantially improve the growth condition used in preceding works. The abstract theorem is applied to get a new result for existence of positive solutions with a priori estimates.
