The research is a part of a wider study on the improbitas and the so called intestabilitas in the Roman sources and focuses on analysis of a passage of the Theophilus’Paraphrase (2.10.6) and some σχόλια added to the Basilica [especially, Sch. 1 ad Bas. 39.1(Pb).6 e Sch. 3 ad Bas. 21.1(Pa).14] – texts that have not been taken into account (except for PT. 2.10.6 only) by the scholars who studied the implications associated with the improbus intestabilisque esse. El romanés i el valencià presenten un contrast similar entre la sibilant no palatal /s/ i la sibilant palatal /?/, però l’articulació de les dues consonants presenta diferències entre les dues llengües. D’una banda, en romanés /s/ es realitza com a dental, més avançada que en valencià; de l’altra, /?/ presenta en romanés un grau de palatalitat major, amb més endarreriment articulatori que en valencià. Thus, a century later, Francesc Fontanella revisited the Garcilaso sonnet and carried out a profoundly Baroque re-reading. We introduce some of the most common types of high-frequency financial data: tick-by-tick data, trade andquote data, order bookdata, andmarket member data. We describe the types of variables that are usually available in the most popular high-frequency financial databases. We discuss the issues related to the handling of these data, including cleaning protocols, timing issues, and issues related to data size. We then briefly consider the issues related to the stylized facts detected in the empirical analysis of high- frequency data. In this article, the authors propose to analyse the ways in which religion and sexuality are related to one another in three recent novels: (1) Fransi Phillips�s Die donker god (2007), (2) Inga �olude�s Santa Biblia (2013) and (3) Michel Houellebecq�s Soumission [English translation: Submission] (2015). In each case, the novels are briefly placed within their respective literary cultures (Afrikaans, Latvian and French) in order to offer a contextually sensitive analysis.
